No, Harry, that was the line five years ago. People know now, and it has been proven, that you can play your way out of the Championship. Us, Swansea, WBA, we've all done it recently. It Harry really knew the modern day Championship, he would know how out-dated that line now is.

Harry won't be in there next season, the job requires too much effort, & he's already lost interest. Now, its about how to get out with the least amount of attention.
I think he'll be there on the first day of the season, but unless they start the season on fire, I'd be very surprised if he hasn't walked out before the end of November. And of course that will put QPR back at square one again, because you can be sure that Harry will spend the summer doing his wheeling and dealing, picking up those brown envelopes, and thus the new guy will be left with Harry's squad rather than his own.
Like every other deeply dishonest man, Harry has to be clever to cover up his dishonesty, so I think he'll hang on at QPR as long as he's allowed to, as failure to do so will remind people of all the parallels with this stage in his career and one when he was with Saints. He'll gradually try to get across the impression that he's the victim, not the culprit and St_brendy is right - he'll be out of it before next Christmas. Barsteward.
My guess is that he'll be gone some time in August...they'll clear out salary, he'll take his cut, and then he'll throw up his hands and bemoan the fact that he cannot accomplish what he desires given all the departures, and leave at such a time that they have to scramble for a manager after most of the better ones have been snapped up.
Harry will never go to League 2 (even for his spiritual home)...he won't even like the Championship. This will b a real test for him...a decent side in a league that is hard to get out of (not for us, obviously

Cardiff are up, Hull Watford possible automatic promotion and Brighton, Crystal Palace, Bolton, and Leicester are scrapping away for the play-offs, but which are best equipped for Premiership survival?
Hard to believe that we were once sweating on playing these teams. Seems a long time ago. Now Cardiff are up, Leicester are turning into the perennial bridesmaid. Brighton have decent facilities and are financially stable, but may be too soon for them...they might do a Reading (though you never know, people said the same about us). Watford perhaps?
Looking at their squads, pretty much all of them will require significant investment to stay in the league.

Looking at this season, any team coming up into the prem needs to spend pretty big in order to stay up (Swansea excepted). Both ourselves and WHU spent big and sensibly and have found ourselves mid table. Reading brought in bargain basement players who were no better than they already had and have now paid the price

Watford has a decent shot, I think. They play attacking football, and with their unique ownership, they'll likely shift players over in addition to outside signings. And if Grenada get exiled from La Liga, which is still a distinct possibility, there might be a sudden influx of Spaniards in the Watford squad, as well.
Yes, I think you are right. Some double negatives from Harry there. Mind you whatever he meant he'll contradict himself a dozen times by the time the season is over.
That's my point FLT. My take too is that Harry is saying that you can play your way out of the Championship (which is why, in the same quote, Harry also says that he wants a better pitch laid at Loftus Road). HOWEVER, you don't need to point that out any more; not these days. People who know the Championship, know it is perfectly possible to play your way out of the Championship these days. So by specifically pointing out something which people already know, that suggests to me that Harry himself isn't aware of this. I'm hardly going to run onto the streets today and shout "Look at this device everyone, it's called a mobile phone. Forget carrier pegion people, you can use this and talk directly to people".
The dinasour maybe thinks the top end of the Championship is very hoofy and brutal and has clubs with a core batch of 30+ year olds in their teams. Of course you can play your way out of the Championship, you don't need to tell us that like you're going against the grain or something!
It's not the content which Harry has got wrong, it's the need to even say it in the first place.
