Friday 26th April 2013 will forever be remembered as the day The Champ hammered Paddy and William Hill to pieces. If we hear rumors of imminent job losses to cut costs to mitigate recent payouts then direct your ire towards me. The Festival rumbles on apace with another excellent card but with a few withdrawals due to ground that take some of the steam out of the piece. My bet of the year runs in the 5.35 Make Your Mark 11/1 each way.
A few weeks ago the forum had Calculated Risk vs Somemothersdohavem... We felt Calculated risk had a lot more in him and the jockey did him no favours but got up by a head. Somemothers reopposes 3lbs better off What we thinking lads, Calculated Risk still well in?
2.55 ripon- MANYRIVERSTOCROSS - 5/1 Will have the fitness edge on the field and if the past weeks have told us anything the jumpers that have gone to the flat have done well coz of the fitneess of a race a couple of weeks before. He ran well lto when being placed in a big handicap field going off at double figures at aintree and has graham lee on board so will take all the beating
Good money for him then but should have put him in a daily thread those of us on the run can't be browsing around the whole forum takes up too much data
Do me a favour please chaps - if anyone tries to back him with Paddy (and they pay 5 places so go with them) can you tell me if you have any problems getting your stake on.
I am steering well clear of Punchestown tomorrow after a solid enough week in the end thanks to Quevega and Un Atout. Other cards look dire so I'm off out on the town tomorrow I think.
Sanctuaire hoses up tomorrow Backed him tonight at 3/1 but only a medium-sizer - banked the Punchestown winnings
BOB, in your excitement tomorrow evening dont miss OSCAR TANNER in the Market Rasen bumper. Best of luck mate ;-)
I'm off to Puncehstown tomorrow myself and am strongly taking on Make Your Mark with Vics Canvas 15/2. Although I do rate BB's selection as a danger, Vics Canvas has been very progressive since returning from a long spell on the sidelines and has some really strong form to his name. Comfortably beat Rogue Angel by 20L who was runner up in a handicap hurdle during the week and stepped up on the performance again when running extremely well behind the very progressive Dressedtothenines (rated 130 that day) who beat Zaidpour in a Grade 2 subsequently. The 3rd Rye Martini franked the form very strongly when winning a Hurdle race against much higher rated opponents yesterday and Vics Canvas is only 4lb higher than that run. Favourite The Paparazzi Kid was well behind that day and is only 2lb better off so I don't see the form being reversed. He unseated LTO at the 6th when still going well and if continuing progression I think he'll take an awful lot of beating.
Oscar Tanner does look nailed on as me. I was on the winner Four Shuck Men that day (his former owner posts on a site I do) and his form is rock solid. Beat subsequent dual Bumper winner Hellorboston by 5L on his last P2P who also ran in the Champion Bumper and was 2nd under a double penalty at Ayr as well. Oscar Tanner would have gone very close had the saddle not slipped and should take all the beating.
I have to say Bob that although I really do wish you well with MARK YOUR CARD he has emptied the yards satchels the last twice. At the prices tomorrow I think I would rather be on ART PROFESSOR @ 33-1.
