Just browsing a few other Boards and the QPR fans are all up in arms over their keeper being pictured at a fancy dress party wearing a Chelsea shirt! It was at a private party held by Luis but I have to say it shows a total lack of thought for the feelings of the Rangers fans. Got me thinking how would we all feel if one of our own was pictured wearing a Pompey shirt? These days with so many foreign players local rivalries have I think less meaning to a lot of them. Should it matter? Thoughts?
Footballer in "not thought this through" shocker. Le Tiss wore a Pompey shirt in a testimonial once, although he had a Saints shirt underneath. Personally, I wouldn't be bothered. Isn't this the 2nd thing their keeper has done recently? Sounds more like he's trying to engineer a move or the club are seeing a way of releasing him from a contract that they can't afford in the Championship.
Lets face it, there is no bigger set of utterly indignant, easily shocked, easily offended, knee jerking idiots than the collective that is known as "Football Fans"
I'm surprised that they're surprised...do any of them really think Cesar is at QPR for any other reason than the money? In some cases I could see fans getting upset, but with a mercenary like Cesar...it shouldn't be that hurtful.
I thought he had dressed up to impersonate his mate (who is a Chelsea player) while attending his birthday party. I am always bemused by what people see as loyalty. My hierarchy of loyalties are firstly my wife, secondly my children and grandchildren, thirdly my wider family and fourthly my country. Loyalty to a football club or anything else for that matter does not come anywhere near any of those.
I'm amazed the reaction has been so strong. He's not exactly a club stalwart, and he's at his mate's party, not parading it about in public. Plus it's not like Chelsea are going to be interested in signing him! Who cares?
I couldn't have put it better. I suppose those faced with ultimate relegation would issue the most extreme reaction.
Is your wife standing behind you as you type this? Ok then, would you be happy if your wife dressed up in a Pompey shirt?
I think that would be considered as reasonable grounds for divorce. Unfaithfulness, infidelity, and farting in bed I could probably tolerate but the very lovely Mrs Godders wearing a Pompey shirt? She is a bigger Saints fan than me. FFS fellas the one love of my life (a life incidentally which has been sardined with women - thanks Dylan) wearing a Pompey shirt? That would just be a step too far and way beyond the pale. No man could take that level of indiscretion and be forgiving.
They can wear what they like. End of the day they are contracted to the club and play for us. Might have saints players who are pompey fans or even another prermiership team don't see why that should stop them wearing those colours if they see fit.
Bet when Cesars pimp first propsed the move, Cesars first question was who the **** are QPR. The second was how much they paying?
I sense a bit of dilemma here, if Spider was to get picked for France, would she wear a replica blue shirt with his name on the back?
DILEMMA? This is a dilemma:- Imagine that you are laying in a big bed with a beautiful naked young woman on one side and a gay man on the other. Who are you going to turn your back on?
No problem as he was at a mates birthday party. Only problem would be if he was angling for a move and rubbing fans noses in it. Don't take offence when none is intended.
