I'm already on Quevega in a single and a multiple with SDC and the Fly. The kiss of death. The master of disaster. The man who has an arse and an elbow but doesn't know which is which, has also put his 50p max stake on so I can kiss that goodbye. In an attempt to mitigate the loss I have backed Mac Aeda in the Perth 4.15 at 5/1 e/w.
Quevega all the way for me tomorrow. Very surprised to see 13/8 is available and its a lump bet from me, especially with the news that Solwhit hasn't really come out of the Aintree race that well. Also, only 2 horses have won at Cheltenham, Aintree and Punchestown in the same season which are Istabraq and Sprinter Sacre. Says it all about the task Solwhit is facing. I expect another comprehensive win by the wonder Mare.
Thoughts on Arvika? Iv lumped on with quevega and in a double. Lost his way a little but if anything up to the form in winter then he should take all the beating
Quevega for me too , prob my only bet of the day but i'm confident about her. The Forum will hopefully be popping crackers all over the shop after she wins as it appears most on here bar a few will be on.
3 bets for me tomorrow: Quevega 2pts Avrika 1pt ew bet to nothing Pinball 1pt ew Hoping for a clean sweep. Got another flat tip lined up for the weekend again from same source as last 2 winners
Wardy - Arvika thoughts are that he's become too unpredictable with regards to his jumping. Mullins has a habit of letting his novice fencers go that way. Certainly capable if he puts it all together but if Beneficient runs like he did at Cheltenham he should win. A no bet race for me. Punchy tomorrow is avoidable as far as I can see bar the World Hurdle.
6.05 Punchestown BAT MASTERSON 25/1 looks a real each-way price and might be ready to fool people at the top of the weights. Declan Lavery claims off a very handy 5lb meaning he is down to a mark of 124 including his claim- his last winning mark. He mixed it with some good 4 year old hurdlers last season and always looked like stamina was his strength. He made gentle headway over 3m last time out and I wonder if it was to get him a mark for something like this. He ought to be very competitive against this field- a 95-130 handicap and he is very much handicapped to make a good bid at making the frame at least. There is one big handicap blot that caught my eye as a danger but much will depend on the ground. If it begins to dry out, then Queiros Bleu 16/1 has fell to a lovely mark having twice run over an inadequate 2m of late, travelling well both times. He has two excellent performances at Cheltenham in 2m5f and 3m handicap hurdles off much higher marks and highlights his preference for the longer trip. His best form does come on better ground, so one to keep an eye on.
yeah im on quevega to with pp 12/1 special with sir de champs n the fly.with the fly almost a shoe in we need the wonder mare to do her stuff tomo
Urban Kode, Door Boy & Paintball at Perth with Whispering Hills at Punchy. Little ew L15. Good luck all
4.05 Beverley: I can't get away from Amazing Blue Sky 14/1. You can ignore his run last time as that was in an Apprentice Handicap and we have James Sullivan back on tomorrow, who knows the horse and its requirements in terms of being on the speed and knowing when to kick. Beverley is the sort of track front-runners can make good use of and if allowed an easy time, I think this horse can bounce right back tomorrow and the handicap mark is beyond lenient now. Ruth Carr hasn't been in bad heart of late, 3 winners and a number of near misses through April and I wonder if she can land her fourth here. Definitely a nice price but as always with this fella its all or nothing! Hopefully Jonny Lesters Hair will go off too mad and Amazing Blue Sky can pick up the pieces by stealing a couple of lengths out of the rest of the chasing pack.
The thing worrying me most about Solwit's chances aren't the trainers comments but the fact the grounds looking likely to be exceptionally heavy, with loads more rain forecast, and the mare comes here a lot fresher and has stamina in abundance... Going off course here, but are we completely sure Reve de Sivola on his preferred going isn't going to upset the apple cart in this?! Dam this rain, on normal going I'd be all over Solwit and supremely confident his speed will win the day but this 3 mile race is now going to resemble a 4 mile race!
If I was a backer of Solwhit in this race, the thing that would be worrying me is that he is outclassed by the mare, and has to give her 7 pounds Licensed to: Print Money Punchestown 3.40 Mad Brian 15/2 4.15 De Valira 50/1 4.50 Big Shu 7/2 NB 5.30 Quevega 13/8 NAP 6.05 Fergiethelegend 25/1 6.40 Benefficient 5/1 7.45 Young Ambition
Man-sized bet on the mighty mare with the proceeds rolling onto the Fly tomorrow - printing money Toppy - I followed Bat Masterson as a novice, very talented on his day and no forlorn hope in this - nice spot, have had an e/w dabble
If she looses there will be some glum faces on here (incl mine)- But she wont so we will all be eating tonite
