Recent history suggests a bit of decent investment used wisely is enough to stay for at least a season. Not really that surprising the run away Champions with a promise of £25m to spend are odds on to stay up.
I should add that I'd slap your hand off for a 17th place finish now though! I did say I'd take 2nd this season when we were 11 points clear though, prehaps I'm too cautious by nature......
You're right that they do tend to be a pretty acurate indicator. They did have England egg chasers as 3 pt favs over Wales before our last game though............
Know of some thick bets that came in this year, mate no 1 bet £15,000 for Cardiff to finish in the top 6 at 6/5..won £18,000, mate no 2 did better, had £5,000 at 5/1 to get promoted and £1,000 at 12/1 to be champions. By the way both are very wealthy lads, but still you have to admire their CAHUNAS.
They are using reverse psychology, so they expect you to go down!.........................
