I have no confidence that Redknapp would take us back up and now that he has told the world so publicly that he needs to bring in his own players so that the man who has backed him to the hilt financially can hear it, I would take up the option Harold gave out so graciously yesterday. No thank you. Please leave at the end of the season. Your services will not be required and we will not be needing you to find a completely new team for us thank you very much. In fact, why wait till then? It's only a matter of a few days before relegation is confirmed. So why not make a start? We start planning immediately with a view to having a new man at the helm before the Summer break and the players can be dragged back from their sunbeds a few weeks early so that they can justify why they should be allowed to stay. Ian Holloway built a team capable of competing in the third tier without any money at all because they wanted to play for the shirt. So did Neil Warnock in the Championship. Can any of you out there really see Redknapp having that sort of skill?
Serious doubts about HR. Yes he did sort our defense & got in some great players, Remy, townsend, Jenas..but I still really dont have much confidence in him getting us up at the first attempt. He'll have my suport if he's still there but I wont be sorry to see him go!
This does seem like a fair summary of Redknapp's career. The world is full of sometimes-lucky chancers who do well because of a mysterious ability to make themselves likeable to the right people. How is Redknapp anything more than that?
If 'arry had been with you all season and achieved the points average that he has since taking over QPR would be on 32 points. That isn't great but you would be 17th a point above Wigan and with a 50% chance of survival.i think it was Hughes that did the damage more than H.
