Typical Mousers coming on here digging up old pictures of JD`s playful nibble of Mascharano, trying to deflect away criticism of Sewerez, they are always the same..... its never their fault..... they are always the victims. Defoe had 1 minor indiscretion, Goofy has a list of offences longer than Crouchie and is a habitual offender. I hope the FA make an example of this horrible little sewer rat, but wont be surprised if he gets away with it (just like he does with his outstanding gamesmanship) because he plays for Liverpool.
This unappetizing, unsavory incident which left a bad taste in everyone's mouth looks to be an open and shut case. Ivanovic complained immediately afterwards, though he'd already given Suarez a mouthful. Suarez may find he's bitten off more than he can chew this time and will find the lengthy ban hard to swallow. However, rival fans are pleased he got Liverpool a richly undeserved draw once he'd gotten the bit between his teeth.
They're clutching at straws and one day, not long from now, they're going to realise that after clutching them for so long they turn to dust. Even Stoke might turn their nose up at such a dirty player!
F.A. HEARING: Suarez: You are being unreasonable. I have a Uruguayan friend who bites me all time - its a sign of greeting and affection in our country.
I've said this before and gotten all kinds of ****, little red bars, etc from some of your less clear thinking compatriots. Suarez is a top striker. He would almost certainly score goals in whatever league, anywhere. But, he comes with this flawed personality - baggage, if you like. If he cannot learn some basic form of self control on a football pitch, he will always be more remembered for his flaws, than his talents.
This headline amused me http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/mar/29/luis-suarez-liverpool-brendan-rodgers
When you think that club has gone as low as it can go along comes Suarez to prove us wrong again. Filth player. Filth club.
Agreed. As I said on your board, this incident probably isn't as shameful as Klan-gate, but it is still dreadful, and will further devalue the international reputation of a once-great club. Shameful! Any decent football fan, even Mousers, will feel soiled by what happened at Anfield, today.
"...amazing appetite..." I doubt that Roy Rodgers imagined for a second that Goofy's appetite would extend to eating the opposition.
After having the dubious rare pleasure of watching a whole Liverpool game not involving Spurs I cannot believe the levels of fairness I was trying to muster when discussing Suarez a couple of weeks ago. The way he rolls around after any contact - he really DOES do that every game. And the handball. And, of course, the bite. Look - there really is no argument - the guy's a total 100% tosser and no - not every team has one. Not like him. Total ****er and a player that I cannot stand and would despair at seeing in a Spurs shirt. I can barely stand to see him on a football pitch - as a football fan players like that make me ashamed of the sport. Great to have someone so hate-able in the league, mind. Bit of fun, in a way.
Gaffe, my old mucker, WUM threads don't run for 198 pages. This thread is clearly viewed as a vital resource and touchstone for many clued-in posters. Discussion topics have been wide-ranging and debate has been keenly argued. Yes, it is a shame that a small minority have tried to derail the thread with inane and puerile comments, but the integrity and determination of the majority of posters has been self-policing, and has shamed the idiot-few into silence. You should rejoice, Gaffe, because this thread has benefitted you just as much as it has us Spurs lads.
They can't win things 11 v 11, so they've sent Suarez to tactically eat the opposition. Rumours are he's been stocking up on chianti.
