Not a Conspiracy Theorist, but it is interesting that it is Sidwell who has been sent off. As I recall there have been a few incidents with him over the years and you might start to question motivation...... :steam:

your problem is that have seen Bale go down so often that you can't spot a real foul any more :p

It seems amazing to me that teams seem to be shooting themselves in the foot when they play Arsenal lately.Fulham could have been nice and done that when we played them.
However,if we are any good we will go out and sort a few teams out, starting with City.If we are no good, than we don't deserve to be 3rd or 4th and can take our usual place in the European reserve league!!!!!!!

Can't find the Giroud red, but here's the Sidwell one and the disallowed goal:

Dirty ****er seems to get away with murder every time we play them. Elbowing Parker in the face at Craven Cottage last season and Bale being booked for getting fouled by him this one, for example.

Sian Massey returns to form after her stinker in our game against Everton. Typical.

Yes, I can see why Sidwell was given a red card. Doesn't mean to say that every ref on every ground would have done the same. This is what you might call the "consistency test". And the question is:

"Given the same circumstances, would a ref give a red card for that challenge to a Man U player at Old Trafford?".

And a lot of time when you ask that question, the answer is "no". And we wonder how Man U are winning the league by such a large margin even though Man C seem to have the better team!

That was the point I was making about Sidwell earlier (that the tool COYG misunderstood!)
He seems to have had something against us for a while now and getting himself sent off so early today was almost certainly going to aid their cause towards getting 3rd or 4th. Certainly no dour that the red was the correct decision.

Didn't expect Fulham to play as well but seems as though they gave Arsenal a good run for their money. Arsenal can probably afford to lose to United now. 3 wins should do it for them. They seem to always win when down to 10 men, a lot more dogged but with less flair. Previous Arsenal sides would have caved.

In injury time? Giroud was sent off with seconds left in normal time and he proceeded to piss about for ages afterwards.

Understandable DL - being a Chelsea fan..... <whistle>

Having been stupidly drunk last night and getting in at 3am I then had to be up at 6am to get down to London and do things so I can be forgiven for one checking the final scores at around 5pm :)
