British light-middleweight contender Ryan Rhodes has a title fight coming up soon against the new WBC champion Saul Alvarez.

Rhodes is certainly experienced and is the 'grandfather' of the British light-middleweight scene. He's been there before at UK and European standard, but is he a world beater?

In the opposite corner is Mexican champ Saul Alvarez. Still only 20 years old, he represents a significant challange. Former champs such as Baldomir and N'Dou have faltered in recent fights

How do people see this one going?
 
alvarez by a wide margin for me.

A great opportunity for Rhodes. it has kinda gone under the radar. matthew hatton got great credit for taking the fight, nobody cares that Rhodes has for whatever reason
 
off topic a bit but what on earth have them numbers he has tatood on him mean?
I see Rhodes taking a prolonged beating and losing a wide margin..... possible retirement.
I do hope he gets a world strap but i just dont see it
 
alvarez is on the path to be a decent world champ and hodes is on the path to be a gatekeeper of this division, alvarez i think will stop him but having said that there were times when hatton boxed smart and made him look foolish, its a shame hatton didnt have the power to hurt him, neither will rhodes i dont think.

alvarez is very much beatable, put him in with clever skilfull boxer who also posses the power to hurt him and alvarez would be in trouble.

i think it will be over by the 10th, KO for alvarez
 
Any fighter being built this way is liable to get a beating. look at Danny jacobs.

Hey ABC

Should be a great fight, likely to go to the cards with Alvarez just edging but I got a sneaky supsicision that Rhodes could pull off an upset.
