Well done Pulis you tool another star you have run out of the club -

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...o-put-Jermaine-Pennant-out-of-his-misery.html

Stoke City make moves to put Jermaine Pennant out of his misery
Jermaine Pennant is facing an acrimonious end to his Stoke City career after the Premier League strugglers made moves to rip up his contract.

Pennant has been told to stay away from training after a breakdown in his relationship with manager Tony Pulis and Stoke have attempted to reach a mutual agreement to terminate his deal prematurely, so he can leave as a free agent.

Telegraph Sport understands that the former Arsenal and Liverpool winger has trained away from the club for the past fortnight following a row with Pulis after the 1-0 defeat against Everton last month.

Pennant travelled with the squad to Goodison Park but was not named in the 18-man squad and is believed to have clashed with Pulis due to an alleged incident after the game, though Pennant’s agent, Sky Andrew, has refuted any wrongdoing from his client.

With Pennant unlikely to feature before the end of the season, Stoke have told him he can leave now if he finds a new club. Talks over a settlement failed to produce a resolution this week, however, and Pennant returned to training yesterday.

The 30-year-old has not played a first-team game since the Capital One Cup defeat against Swindon in August and his £25,000-a-week contract runs out in June. He was a £1.725 million signing from Real Zaragoza in January 2011, following a successful loan spell, and he impressed in his first 18 months as Stoke reached the FA Cup final in his first season.

But he has fallen out of favour and struggled this season during a loan spell in the Championship with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Pennant is understood to have received offers from clubs in Major League Soccer in the United States, while there could also be interest from Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday, who both attempted to sign him on loan last month.

Stoke are battling to stay in the Premier League after a dismal run of only one win in the past 14 games and face Queens Park Rangers this weekend only three points above the relegation zone.

Pulis has never been relegated as a manager and is convinced two wins from their remaining five games will be enough to avoid the drop. He said: “We need as many points as we can get – we’re looking for 40 but if we lose the next three games and win the last two I think we stay up.

“This is the first time we’ve been in this situation in 7½ years and I think the players will respond in the right way. It has been a dreadful run. We haven’t deserved to be where we are but we’ve shot ourselves in the foot and have to stop that.”

Although it's been obvious for a long time that Pennant would not feature again... Pulis really is a T**T of the highest order. 25 grand a week and he's not even training with the squad? What a waste. For me, this this one of if not the main reason. We are where we are right now. Deep in the doggie doos. To sacrifice the future of our Premier League status because of a fall out.?? Pulis you stubborn, stubborn T**T

IF the worst happens Waddo, Pulis would be lucky to out of Stoke on Trent with all his limbs intact.. I could personally swing for the guy. Fookin livid if this is true and it probably is.

Potts his failure to man manage high profile players shows him up for what he is, a small time manager!
I was excited at the signing of Pennant and also over the moon when we got Tuncay and yet he broke both players.
I think he has this knack to totally demoralise a player and his confidence. Listening to him constantly make excuses for different players only adds to that players lack of confidence. if someone keeps telling you your unfit or lacking in confidence you will soon start to believe it. Negative on the pitch and negative off the pitch. Hurry up Denise and fire him!

To be honest it's just embarrassing - not just Pennant - but the long list that has gone before!

That Nicky worries me as much as the T**T in the hat?
I have no idea. You said it often enough... Bookie's are not rich because they are stupid, they calculate the (risk factor) My question is/was and has been for a while now.

Why,why, why let it get this bad? To think we we're EIGTH in the League and looking O.K. at WORST.. mid table, maybe top half was the quote being thrown at us by both Coates and Pulis.

Just a thought, I wonder what the odds were on Dec 28 2012, against us being relegated?

After thrashing Liverpool - DID THAT.REALLY HAPPEN? lets be charitable and say 25 to 1.

And for arguments sake lets say several wealthy men made a bet or bets, anonymously of course. And if those wealthy men had any influence at the club and inside knowledge and contacts within the betting industry???

You all know I like a conspiracy theory in the morning!

    as definately lost the plot
I put £5 @80/1 on Feb 1st ,the writing was on the wall then. It`s a bet I still want to lose, however I`m now thinking it`ll be some compensation for the appalling mess we are now in thanks to TP`s terrible tactics. What the odds were on 28th December I don`t know ,but as I say 80/1 on Feb 1st!!!!!!

Joe - good to hear from you again!

So...Mr Bond, you too are in the conspiracy (he said stroking his pussy), what are we going to do with you...
Tie him up OddJob and take him to the home dugout at the Brit, dressed in a tracksuit, baseball cap and a Pulis mask. Fiendishly clever eh

Hi everyone after a bit of time away I felt a bit better and calmer about the Stoke city situation.................... UNTIL I read this "We haven’t deserved to be where we are but we’ve shot ourselves in the foot and have to stop that.” What planet is this moron on?, we deserve to be where we are as we have been boody terrible for the majority of the season.

    Pulis out!

Thanks ONB, I haven`t been on for a while because I`ve found our situation really depressing and coming on here doesn`t really help!. I don`t feel I can contribute anything new to what`s been said. We all know, and have done for 18months,what needs to be done but the man in charge insists on repeating the same mistakes. Playing the same inferior players in the wrong positions.I have to say I don`t agree with your conspiracy theory regarding PC,without his money we`d be well and truly `shafted,`but I do wish he`d `woken up and smelled the coffee` earlier. Bye for now!:emoticon-0106-cryin

WHAAAAT - someone disagrees with MY conspiracy theory!! How very very dare you?

I will have to try much harder to make it more convincing, or more to the point, much more unlikely? back to the drawing board it is then.

Oh and Ricc, welcome back also.
