I hope we get Eriksen - what a top player he already is, and what a world class player he could become.

There are quotes from an interview he gave in 2012 about how he models his game on Gerrard.

In addition, he's looking for a project and the thought of playing alongside Gerrard ,Suarez and Agger will hopefully appeal to him.

Marco Rojas confirms today that he is leaving Melbourne Victory for Europe.

The 21yo kiwi is currently player of the year in the aussie A League and plays wide or 2nd striker. The general consensus is that he is signing for us, he is available on a free but apparently we would have to pay compensation which would probably be less than half a million pounds. Some people are saying that the friendly v Melbourne Victory this summer is part of the deal

TBH, I'm trying to ignore the Eriksen talk. It is a signing that I would be extremely happy to see (along with Neymar <whistle>) but don't hold much hope of it happening considering our current position. I don't want to get my hopes up about it <ok>

I remember this one being talked about in Jan. We've certainly been most heavily linked with him...so Spurs it is then <laugh>

Just another gamble on a youngster IMO. Time will tell whether it pays off or not, can't recall too many working for us in the not to distant past so maybe its about time our luck changed...?

look if we TRY i won't mind.

if i see erikkson go to a nothing side for 17mil and we've not bid then i will want heads. if he chooses another side over us its not embarrassing its a kick up the hole that we need more of.

Yeah, that's fair enough so long as its not bloody Tottenham! We all know how they could do with a couple of midfielders this summer <laugh>

look reality check if tottenham are perferred... like young and jones (reputedly) then fine thats HIS choice, at least lfc tried to go do the right thing. if we agreed a fee but he wanted 100k and spurs are willing to bankrupt to get top 4 then fine. I would be of the opinion that if you try and are turned down it's better than pretending stuart downing is great and the first choice.

I hope we learn that getting turned down is the slap in the face some people need. the perch is well and truly in the past and those still thinking they are on one need a wake up.

Bid for erikkson and lose = trying

bid stupid (or any) moeny for williams and go join stoke in the lower half struggling.

MITO...

I totally agree. We want players that want to play and are willing to run through brick walls for the Liverbird! I don't want to see us breaking the bank in an attempt to get where we want to be, its certainly not worked for us over the years so why would it suddenly start working now? I am firmly behind the building process approach, long term gains and all that <ok>

My Tottenham comment was a joke <ok>

a good point. suarez had two thing... he bit a guy and so was out the door but.... he also wanted to join us.

we do not want to have a robinho who's turned up and doesnt know where the F he is... or sigurdsson OR gaston ramierez who is all about the money.

If we bid for erikkson and he makes a judgement call he's better off at spurs or whatever... say not even england but PSG... fine you ARE better off and so are we. Imagine paying 10-15mil for sahin and having a guy so disinterested.

in the end we'll see =, the type of agent a guy uses and tactics IMO also indicate. if you've a mouthy agent run a mile

Apparently Dede has signed for Cruzeiro according to Sky Sports http://www1.skysports.com/football/...tional-is-joining-Cruzeiro-from-Vasco-da-Gama

Cruzeiro have won the race to sign highly-rated Brazilian international Dede from Vasco da Gama.

Corinthians were also in the hunt for the 24-year-old - who had made it clear he would not be leaving Brazil despite interest from Europe with the likes of AC Milan, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United all linked.

Now Cruzeiro have announced that they have concluded a deal for the central defender and as part of that they will loan Alisson and Wellington Paulista to Vasco.

Dede will hold a press conference to confirm the move
