Patchy display, but our class got us comfortably past Fulham. All you Luiz knockers, take a look at the replay, the youngster is getting better and better. For me, not one who thinks JT should be auto select, great game from him as well. Ivan also played much better and Bertrand did all he was asked. Cech again great when needed. Midfield was pretty ordinary, Lamps had one or 2 moments, Ramires proves yet again he is NOT a holding midfielder, and shows he still needs to practice his passing. Can't be faulted for effort or attitude. Subsequently, not a lot happened for Torres, but he is definitely into it more now, and looks likely. The 3 mousketeers, with subs included, all did well, though Moses crosses like Jesper used to, miles over the bar !!!! Definitely needs to work on that. Cracking goal from Luiz, cracking cross from Mata for JT, definitely aimed for him, and cracking header from Torres for JTs' second. As always I look forward Bucks Blues summary, he does it better than I ever could.
After watching the players celebrations of the third goal (Terry in particular), do you think they respect and appreciate Torres more than you lot do? not wumming by the way, it just struck me how much they all seemed happy for his involvement.
I think they all want to see him succeed, and as fellow professionals, they understand his situation, and can see how he is working his socks off for the team. Hope he keeps getting better.
Well there you are Ossie, proof that 2 fans from the same club see things differently. Funny old game ??? It sure is !!
I was confident we'd win providing we fielded a strong team, we are a lot better than Fulham when we have our best XI out. I actually think Spurs and Arsenal fans predicting us to draw was clutching straws at best because Fulham's best results v big sides have come away from home where they can be well structured, difficult to break down and counter well. When they open themselves up more they are easier to beat hence why United, City, Spurs and now us have all won there.
