It's funny, after the Norwich game a few of their fans on here were accusing Norwich players of using dirty tactics with niggly little fouls and time wasting which was a bit harsh, every team will bend the rules a bit when they're up against it. Arsenal are certainly not innocent when it comes to surrounding refs and going down easily, whilst Wilshere's always tough in the tackle and Arteta's always fouling. Wilshere's just a bit of an twat though, Arsenal fans will love him for it whilst the rest roll their eyes at his petulance.
What really stood out to me last night though was Arteta(or was it Cazorla) indicating to the ref that Gibson had elbowed a player, in an attempt to get him sent off. Then later on, when an Everton player won a bouncing ball cleanly, Sagna went down holding his head when the player's foot went nowhere near. I'm not trying to take the higher ground here over Arsenal, I don't like to see Spurs players exaggerate things either so clearly there's no higher ground to take. Unless there's a particularly nasty bit of play, I keep the blame for the ref if it's not picked up on and I do love blaming a ref

But yes, Sagna was a knob for doing that. And I think Wilshere was probably very frustrated by his own terrible performance.
Here, I Spain, it's quite common to fall theatrically, roll around like you've just been Tasered, etc. now it seems to be catching on over there. Time for referees to start issuing a few yellow cards for feigned injuries, as well as dives.
Wilshere can be a fantastic talent. He is, however, seemingly prone to injury. He also far too frequently behaves like a petulant 2 yr old who's had it's favourite toy taken away.
Wait... did the ref see what Sagna did? If not it might be a chance for *retrospective punishment*. You know - because the powers that be are really interested in cutting simulation out of the game. Oh, hang on a minute, they never do, do they? Which has enabled me to compile this handy ready reckoner of FA action:

There you are, that sums it up.
You of all people shouldn't read it like that considering you're aware of what I was saying in the Norwich thread that there's no "holier than thou" attitude to take with the kind of behaviour you were talking about. My point here was that it has rung true rather quickly for Arsenal fans complaining about Norwich. I'm under no illusions that our players can be as guilty as anyother, if you really need me to name Spurs players as I named Arsenal players in 2 examples then fine, Dempsey and Bale have both dived on more than one occassion this season and I don't like to see it. Obviously it's far more frustrating when it goes against your team but it's a bit rich to act like other teams are cheats when your own are guilty of the same.
