I see Luz has just had a haircut, I wonder if it is the same fella that did Torres, as look how he has played since he lost his locks :emoticon-0103-cool:

Luiz pulled off some really great stops last time out as well, but when someone is in defense we often only see their blinding mistakes.

Think Luiz has been our best defender by a country mile in the last few months. Wish we had 2 more like him then we could stick one in midfield as well.

And wasn't it Ivan most at 'fault' for the goal on Sunday.....??

The second goal was Ivan fault, the 1st was Luiz's fault.

Good run by Toure and a lot of luck for Nasri; wouldn't say it was anyone's fault as such.

Watch the goal again and just watch what Luiz does.

Can't as am at work but in the half a dozen times I saw it on Sunday I never thought anyone was to blame. Good move by City with a punch of luck to boot. Every goal is avoidable and to that end you could always blame someone, but again, I wouldn't say it was his fault.

Anyway, Luiz has been one of our best players this season, where ever he has been played. Would rather him at the back than any of our other centre halves at the moment and when you also factor in what he gives us from an offensive point of view, he's one of the first on the team sheet for me. Quality player.

For all the Luiz haters out there just look at his first half performance and the quality balls he has played all night and of course that thunderbolt from 35 yards. Hark my words, I said it when you all slated Ramires after 3 months. Both will be world class very quickly and both are young enough to have great Chelsea careers and take their place as legends.<ok>

So get off their back cappice<grr>

I knew someone would post something like this, His passing and shooting do not make him a good defender. It would make him a good midfielder.

With respect Dean he will be a world class defender in a very short time, you just can't see it and I have said this from day one he came to the club. You are clearly one of his knockers!

I think he is a really good player, his range of passing is quality, he can beat men, he can strike a ball to some tune but he will never be a good defender as he is too much of a maverick. Due to this he will always be unreliable in defence

Don't think so Sean, he's just not a "classic" English defender. He still gets the job done, will always give you heart flutters, but he IS a very good defender, in my opinion ,our best by some distance.
Add to this his other skills, his enthuasism, and his happy demeanour, he's a great buy and a great asset.
