easily man of the last few matches, he's starting to look the real quality that hope had been high for. different class. buy of the season?
He didn't stop running - was so cool on the ball - made some lovely feints to the left and right when challenged - pinpoint passing and some brilliant outside of the foot layoffs to the other lads - total class all over the pitch.
near the end of the game when i think he took it past one, then lost it but nearly got it back, then when it got passed back he was straight up in his face harassing the defender. got a big cheer and rightly so, kind of epitomises him really
It sounds as if his English is improving which helps. The radio commentators said he was berating on of the defenders at one point, so he must have learned a few words. He seems to have gradualy got better during the season but has made a step improvement since he's moved to the middle of the park.
He has come on leaps and bounds. His close control is superb, for me he will slip into the prem and shine. We have a real gem on our hands!
We have a player that was interesting a Champions league semi finalist (Borussia Dortmund) and has been brilliantly man managed by Malky and his coaching team. Watching him in the olympics you could see he had undisputed talent but just needed to come to terms with the championship. Just hope we can build around Kimbo Mutch and Gunnarson as these 3 are still young enough to be around for the next few years
I don't think I've seen a better overall performance from a City player EVER.......seriously. I do worry though how long he'll be with us.
Agreed.......though if a Man U or Barcelona scout were there on Saturday I reckon they'd be on the phone today making enquiries.
He was superb and I've been singing his praises all season, BUT he's not anywhere near that standard yet. He'd be more midtable PL and we've got to make sure we keep him as that's the standard we're currently aspiring to.
He is the kind of player that will get better when he has better players around him. At times he gets a bit isolated or runs into walls. Give him support from some more technical players and he will get more space and really shine.
Agreed, but these sort of clubs will hoover up prospects often with offers the smaller clubs can ill afford to refuse - Zaha (who I do not rate at all) is a prime example. Just hope that contracts in place coupled with the wealth and resolve of VT is enough to keep him with us.
This lad has been in the shadows too long for us. Probably due to Malky's original plan to build a squad around Whitts. Think he needs a few cooked dinners though to beef him up. Probably why he has remained in the shadows come to think of it.
Judging by the games against Birmingham (away) and against forest; I think he's strong enough. It's mutch that needs to beef up, I don't know why he bothers standing up in the first place.
