I have 1 unread note in Achievements but when I go in doesn't seem to have anything related to me. Does everyone have this? Is it just to say new achievements have been awarded?

paper talk today is suggesting that Benny is close to joining Monaco and we're after Fabio Coentrao as the replacement.

Apparently we're also after Napoli's CB Fede Frnandez.

That will be a bloody great loss if true. You never know what you've got til it's gone.............
I have been a fan of AVB so far, but if he pushes Benny out - especially at this stage of such an important season - my option will change.

Edit: and why the heck we should be worrying about spending valuable cash on a CB is also beyond me...... :mad:
 
I don't know if it'll be 100% AVB's fault. Let's remember that he's not getting younger, he's been a good player over the last few years and Levy will be looking to get as much profit out of the deal as he can.
 
I'd assume that the Coentrao rumour is part of their continued media spam about Bale. Perhaps they'd like to offload him as part of the price or something?
From what little I've seen of Madrid recently, he's been in their first XI. Maybe their incoming manager (whoever that is) much prefers Marcelo or has his eye on someone new?

It was actually part of the story about BAE on his way to Monaco, nothing to do with Bale. - makes a bloody change! <laugh>

He's 29 - Leighton Baines is 28 and his name was being touted as a replacement!!
And Coentrao apparently signed a 6 year deal with RM in 2011 worth about &#8364;30m - so he ain't gonna come cheap!!! Hardly a Levy buy.......
 
Leighton Baines has created more chances than any other player in Europe this season.
Pretty surprising for a left-back.

What if he did become part of the Bale deal? I can see us using them as a way of getting quality and using Bale as ransom!

Coentrao + higuian + 10mill, for bale?

I can't see how braines has ever been realistic for us. Way too expensive.
 
Throwing figures in the air, but I reckon that Coentrao would be valued at around &#8364;20m and Higuain no less. &#8364;50m for Bale is probably about right, but should we be paying &#8364;20m for a LB????

And if we are, I am pretty sure we could get Baines for that....... Gaining precisely 1 year and a few more assists.....

Not going to happen mate. Relayer is right, no way would Levy pay £20mil for a 29 year old LB. Especially when Vertonghen can play there.

Anyway, I fancy that Bale may stay a while longer unless a really silly bid comes in.
 
P/L players have it easy,Sutton have just completed 4 games in a week,3 league and a county cup game,won them all,this week they have 3 games in a week!

Coentrao is 25 mate, and the reports have been £14m.
