I can't say I'm excited about this signing but that's what AP said, some will excite others won't. NP knows what he's doing so we can judge Adebola on the contribution he makes when he pulls on the black and amber shirt. My guess is that he's not going to be a starter but an impact player to come off the bench if things aren't going well and we need to change things i.e. formation.

Trouble is Adebola was one of the ones Adam thought would excite!!

Never mind, we're much better off than Ipswich who are in for David Nugent and Michael Chopra!! Poor sods, you've got to feel for them!

Seriously Adebola was one of the players to excite? Oh dear. See what you mean about Ipswich trying to sign players like that, they'll be lucky to escape relegation LOL!

Think he will be 4th choice, off the bench, if we need an outlet or things are not going well. On the plus sign he should cost us nothing really in terms of fees and wages, more money for defence and wingers.

Don't really get why we have signed him but Nigel has signed good players up to now so we will have to just wait and see. Can't see him really playing much with Fryatt, Mclean and simpson and maybe someone else we bring in

If last season's anything to go by he'll get 45 minutes every few games!

Probably not on big wages and will only play when we need a plan C, he wouldn't be a terrible signing.

5 goals in 61 games for Forest. Woop-de-****ing-doo.

Please tell me he's a hold-up player and not a target man?

Whatever way you look at it, it's a **** signing, a player at the end of his career, who wasn't that good at his peak.

I can't really understand it, we had the option of Iwelumo or Howard, both of which would have been at little cost and are more effective players.

If this is true, i'm trying to look at this in the bigger picture, hopefully like most people say he'll only be used as a back up on a 12 month contract, and this is only the prelude to more sigings. NP and the Allams are maybe trying to cover all bases and make signings for the first team and back up choices should injuries/suspension affect the squad. Going by the competence of our management and recruitment team i'm guessing this'll be the case, if not then they've potentially dropped a bit of a clanger <yikes>

Agree with the general thought on here that he'll be a squad player, and a cheap one at that. Due to his size, age and goal scoring record i can only see him being used to hold the ball up and bring others into play, giving Fryatt a bit of company up front. I still think we'll see more of Barmby off the bench than Adebola, but he's got to be a better option than Folan. Can't remember seeing too much of him but he's surely got a better first touch than Caleb.
