Fat Sam has destroyed West Ham.

They used to play football now they don't.

They used to be known as the Academy now their are just a bunch of hoof ball merchants and what is so sad is that their once so very knowledgeable fans who once expected and were given a decent standard of football seem happy to watch that crap every week.

They used to play with silky skills now they are a bunch of bruisers constantly in the refs face and endangering the oppositions players.

Fat Sam has besmirched the great history of West Ham created over many years by Ron Greenwood, Trevor Brooking, Frank Lampard, Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst, Martin Peters and Billy Bonds.

It is inconceivable that any one seriously thought he had the potential to be England manager FFS we would have been the laughing stock of the world.

Stoke are more of a footballing team than his bunch of whinging thugs.

I think by now you must have guessed that I didn't think much of todays game. I might have done if WesDam had tried to play football.

My one consolation is that next week I shall see two teams playing football rather than the just the one I saw today.

Somebody needs to tell Fat Sam that the world has moved on and that he is an anachronism as is his team.

English football needs to get rid of his ilk along with Pullis at Stoke in order to save our national game. I wouldn't let either of them train my dog let alone a football team.

Today West Ham produced a very good, disciplined away performance that earned us a valuable point.

We play some good stuff at home and have dished out a few tonkings (as you know) and I would much rather watch a performance like today than the heroic 2-3 defeats we were used to under Zola and Grant etc.

West Ham United is a club is massive financial trouble. Gold and Sullivan need to make sure we stay in the premier league for a few years whilst we stabilize. If that means a bit of "needs must" like today then that's fine with me.

A few years of dull football will not undo 100 years of history and we will soon be back to some brighter performances once we are an established premier league side with more stable finances.

Get a grip. Today was a solid, well earned point that we are pleased with. Worry about your own team and we will worry about ours.

Football IS a business, an entertainment business, the same as the theatre, the public have a right to expect a football match when they have paid for a ticket. It is not unreasonable for the paying public to criticise a team that has clearly come to 'spoil' a game to get a result and I do not believe that every West Ham fan shares Trixter's views on their Manager's methods of obtaining a result.

Forget the direct style of football. Whilst I don't personally find it attractive, each manager to their own. Sam has long since proven that it works for him. And, thankfully, I don't have to watch it every week. The direct football is not my issue with West Ham at all.

It's the time-wasting, the dirtyness, the back-chat. They made it perfectly clear that their primary intentions were to annoy us and prevent us playing football, rather than concentrate on themselves. Amazingly, when they stopped all that and actually tried to attack us (ie once we took the lead), they actually threatened us, and ultimately scored. Before then retreating again to their former selves. I'd be gutted as a West Ham to see that.

And then of course, when decisions went against them, they were whining about been hard done by. Pathetic, and hypocritical. At least Stoke generally accept it when fouls etc go against them. They dish it, but also take it as men. I respect them for that.

Don't get me wrong. There is often nothing wrong with going away from home and playing for a point. But you don't do it like that. They were a disgrace. And Mike Dean was an even bigger disgrace for letting them get away with it so often. I mean, how on earth did Nolan never getted booked? Fouling and backchat. And he more than anyone refused to 'take it' when Dean sided with us. Vile, vile footballer.

Harry and QPR came here and were dirty, but West Ham's tactics were on another level. And it's is all down to Big Sam. The sooner managers like him are sent into retirement, never to be seen again, the better.

Agree with this. Nolan is a disgrace with his constant baracking of the ref and Joey O'Brien timewasting in the 5th minute was another low point. Makes me proud to suport Saints!

 

[I Sorry I Ruined The Party]

They were worse than I thought in terms of playing boring, crap football. But they came for a point and got it. As I said on the other thread, prepare for more of the same next year.

They played physical, and weren't afraid to give fouls but they were of the annoying kind to disrupt play, hopefully get away with it, and if not get in your head... not intent to injure. I don't like how Stoke play because I think they do play recklessly if not intentionally to physically intimidate and injure. Wouldn't say West Ham fell quite fell into that class. And let's be real-- away game, you have the size advantage, wet pitch-- they did what they had to do.

To be honest, probably the two cheapest plays in the game were Schneiderlin taking a dive and Davis's two-handed shove I think he was lucky not to get carded for. We let ourselves get a bit too caught up in the first half.

I'm glad I don't have to watch that every week and would be somewhat upset to see us play like that on a regular basis, but if West Ham fans don't mind then that's their business.
