By golly we have basically done it (bar the shouting). Excellent performance today, albeit against 10 men for a large part of the game. So it is safe to assume that we are now a premier league team. I know, stranger things have happened and all that, but if we dont get promoted from here I will buy a season ticket at the Liberty stadium So my question is - assuming we get that point against Charlton on Tuesday, what do you think we should do for the remaining games? Frankly Id be quite happy for the first team to be sent on an early holiday and for us to experiment with younger players. On the other hand, we owe it to the league to send out teams that can win the last few games as 2 of our last 3 opponents are involved in playoff and promotion battles.. Who would you like to see given game time in our month long promotion party? Gosh that feels good...
First we get a least a draw on our next outing then ........................................... Yes, I think we have done it, but........ one more point please. Anyway, we may as well play to be Champions.
I know - can't celebrate properly until its mathematically done, but i am basically celebrating now anyway. Tuesday night will be epic..... I personally couldnt give a monkeys whether we are champions or not, for all i care we could lose every remaining game 5-0! One more point indeed, the seemingly endless run of failed promotion attempts is so class i can taste it....
I agree to some extent mate. 2nd would do me, but I also think the players and the club deserve to finish top. Great great season
You deserve to go up based on the fact you've been the most consistent team in the division. Sod playing well, that's just a bonus. Winning is what counts.
You could say we deserve to finish top based on the fact that we have been top since November, and I would tend to agree. I just honestly don't care. So long as we go up everything else is an irrelevance to me - would be a nice cherry on top of a massive, massive cake. But once weve got the 1 point I am all up for experimentation with youth players etc
