In hours yesterday the odds on Di Matteo becoming next Stoke manager dropped from 66/1 to 6/1. Probably just more internet rumours but there is a rumour circulating that Di Matteo has already agreed to take over in the summer. If only we were that lucky Stokies! He'd be my 2nd choice behind Rafa.

Sgt
I would prefer Di Matteo to Raffa personally... just my choice is all. I think? Rafa will Manage abroad when he leaves Chelsea. Both good Managers IMO though.
Anyone else think Gus Poyet would do a decent job or Zola maybe?

Poyet is a good shout if Brighton don't get promoted.

I prefer Rafa I'll admit. He wants to stay in England. He's got a place over here and he wouldn't go to a top 6/7 club. Plus he's said in the past he wouldn't mind managing a team with our type of stature.

And just what sort of stature is that??

Once upon a time perhaps, say 2 years ago, probably everybody's second team, underdogs. up and at em!!! attitude.

£100 million pounds later, the pariah's of the prem - look how far we have come?

I think Rafa would be the safer option but I think it would be too similiar to what we have from a style and setup perspective. I think someone like DM, whilst a gamble would at least offer us something differnet which is what we all crave.

Personally I think that Di Matteo is the better manager.
But, the main question is: Will this depend on what league we are in and what the financial situation will be if we go down.
