PESKIE, you do realise that no one on this board takes either you or your wummery seriously, don't you? I wouldn't mind if, even occasionally, it was funny, but it just isn't.

I can understand why you'd feel uncomfortable with me showing up your comments that come back to haunt you, maybe you shouldn't leave yourself open to such easy ridicule ?

If anyone knows about failure in europe,it's the goons, 19 years and counting

Given the strength of the Premier League over the previous 10 years, I think it's fair to say all of the English sides have failed. Only 3 winners in that period.

to be fair, i thought he probably had his best performance for us last night.

me too, but lets be honest, the first goal was a gift and the 2nd was a poor finish up against even poorer goalkeeping.
He didn't do much else that i noticed, and looked totally shagged and slow after 70mins. This is a guy who has been resting for weeks.

exactly what i've been saying about all of his goals. They are always scrappy. The few attempts he did make at goal were scuffed or fired wide. But still, he took advantages of the clear chances he was given, so fairplay to him.

To be a squad player, maybe. As a regular starter, no way.

haha, I wasn't being serious NSIS ;)

His first effort was another wasted shot from 35 yards - when he had good options inside. How many times has he done this???
He got two scrappy goals so probably is immune from too much criticism, but his fitness is suspect and he added little throughout the game.
A squad player or recoup some/all of the outlay in the summer? Still more keen on the latter option to be honest.

If Verts had stayed on i would have quite liked to have seen Coulthirst replace Dempsey. I think we were in the ascendency at that point

Although, thinking about it, we were out of subs at that point

Piskie,I seem to remember a stack of gooners saying "Wenger out,Wenger out." Now look. Your lot are no different.

I'd be the first one to agree with you on that, although I'd have to paraphrase it and say 'some' Gooners were calling for his head.

As for HIAG though, he's a laugh a minute <laugh>

In the last 10 years the PL has provided 8 finalists, these German teams from the so superior Bundesliga according to your blathering, have 2...lost both times.

Nobody ever claimed the Bundesliga was the "best" or "strongest" in that time which is the kind of stuff the PL fanboys have come out with. There is a strong case for it now but finalists mean nothing, Man U got all the way to the final in 2011 having played no decent opposition.
