Why do you read these threads? This a forum on which fans; take the piss, have a laugh, share news but pretty much first and foremost discuss football.

Your continual insinuation that we are in some way ungrateful for daring to discuss or question the manager that has got us top of the league is becoming a little tiresome.

Don't quite understand that Stevo. If he should have had a hatrick and ****ed up, why was Malky right to put him on?

Mason would have buried the one on one, and the shot and header that should have been on target sums the guy up - ****ing hopeless.

If he doesn't get on the pitch again this season, it'll be too soon. Gestede looks no better to be honest, and we clearly need a new front leader.

Whittingham has been disaster for a few months now. He's returned to the "luxury player" tag that he earned when he first arrived from Villa. I'd have been happy to see Forest take him at that time, but he worked his way out of it when Malky arrived and told him he wanted to build the team around him.

Right now, he could be sold in the close season wherever we end up next year.

Evening guys.....not been on for a while so just popping in for a cuppa and a chat!
Still looking odds on for you Bluebirds this term, so well done on that. Bit of a tough blow last night though wasn't it, but hey-ho, I am sure you will still go up as champions.
Have you any nerves left?....its getting to nail biteing time now. What do you think.....1 or 2 more wins and it should all be over bar the shouting :)
As for my little lot, its like waiting in the dentist waiting room.....I know its going to hurt, but lets just get it over and done with and get the problem fixed!
I am off to celebrate my big "five-oh" with 3 weeks in the states so will not be at home to witness our demise and your rise to the promise land, so have a great time at the end of this season and enjoy the ride next season and please don't feel too proud to pop down and say hi........
    Good luck.......

All I'm saying is when an established goal scorer (even on poor form) misses 3 gilt edge chances it has to be the players fault.
Malkys tactics produced enough chances to win 2 or 3 matches that was my point.
I know you have and can turn that back on mm as he picked hh.

Sometimes the individual errors undo the best performance and or game plan.

MM is doing the job he thinks is needed to get promoted. All well and good, but he is developing a style of football that will get ripped apart at PL level.

I hope like hell he has another arrow to his bow because if he thinks he can defend for 45 minutes against PL teams he is in for a rude shock.

Swansea got to where they were because Martinez developed a playing style which has been followed on since. It is also the reason Wigan have survived in the PL for so long. Moyes has done the same at Everton. It is all about knowing when to attack and when to hold off.

I am not sure MM has got that part worked out just yet. Still it is harsh to be critical of a guy who has us top of the league.

I was in a pub watching United and City listening to a guy yelling and screaming at Fergie calling him an on old fool who didn't know what he was doing :)

no disrespect to MM, Bill Shankly, Alex Ferguson, Bill Paisley or Brian Clough but I am a better manager than you all. I have proved it time and again because I would put MY best team out and they always win....

I haven't taken it up as a profession as I don't like the unsocial hours and it interupts me following my team :)

I appreciate that Helguson missed the chances and not Malky, but Malky should accept his players as they are now, not as they used to be.

He knows HH of old and can't seem to accept that the guy is not the answer to latch on to an opportunity and finish clinically. He can't even hit the target with his feet, and his much lauded heading ability also seems to have deserted him.

Yes, he did get on the end of four decent chances, two of which he should have scored easily, but took them like a pub team player.

We had other options on Tuesday night and Malky chose the wrong one for me again. He should utilised our squad skills and gone for pace and trickery to open up a back pedalling Barnsley. As it was, he yet again chose the "safe" option - and at bloody home!!

All opinion I know - it's good to talk.

I watched the game last night and I had previously thought we'd scored before HH came on the pitch. Although my view of HH remains the same it could be said MM change did benefit the team initially but it wasn't enough to see the game out.

Listen you post what you like and I will post what I like that seems fair, or is it just your opinion that matters?

    My comment is accurate.

This fantasy football when we have a late deflected winner and suddenly experts take away any credit from a good performance deserves someone to point out that Malky has got the results to take us top and keep us there.

Either this is an open forum where everyone can have their say or you moderate it and people can only say what you agree with.

It's a significant differerence though as I'm (fairly) sure Mason would have remained on the pitch had we scored before he was subbed.

Sparks; I'll happily agree that MM doesn't seem to have recognised the rapid decline of HH. Problem is Rudy, historically, is just as likely to have missed those chances and even given what I saw on Tuesday, I'd still say HH was the more likely of the 2 players to score if given chances. Problem is the % chance of success is terrible where either is concerned.

Don't need anyone to agree with what I post, I'll give my opinion in a reasoned way and everyone can decide from there, if you don't like what I say you have the right to tell me. You'll notice if you read the thread I'm having a discussion in which I'm probably making the same point as you tbf. Only difference is that you say bad luck, I say terrible individual performance from HH. Sparks has been saying since Xmas HH is past it and needs to be put out to graze. It's on record on this forum. I said to my wife walking out on Tuesday "There's a fella on our forum who'll go ****ing nuts HH was brought on and missed those chances".

My issue is that we've had a number of these threads and in each of them you comment in a sarcastic/condescending manor about the members of the forum discussing whether in their opinions if the managers decisions were correct. Find me one poster on here who thinks we'd be 30 points clear "as one could suppose" had we picked the team and I'll take that back.

    Stev,

That was a much fairer reply and seems very sincere to me, I know the team selections and tactics are not what we would like to see but at this late stage we live in hope whatever players are on the pitch can do the job.

All I really want is us to get past the finishing line anyway we can so we can all relax and like you say have a laugh and a joke to celebrate.

Can't fault it, you will have a superb time but don't lose too much at Vegas!!! Never done the west coast but have been to Florida many times - Orlando, Tampa, the Gulf Coast, Fort Lauderdale, Miami and the Keys. Had great times at all of them.

And when you get back we will all know our fates for 2013/14. <yikes>

THere's a prat of an old geezer in the very back row of the family stand (Immediately behind the goal) who gets right on everyone's tits. He's almost entirely negative and seems to think he knows better than everyone. 'Tight City, keep it tight!' he shouts. He looks a bit like Scolari and obviously thinks that he is him. If you have access to his the, would you drop something in it, please?

Caldicot - can you take Helguson with you? You won't have any trouble - he'll never score with your missus...........<laugh>

Seriously though about Helga, I've just had time to watch the second 45 of the game on Player - sometimes you get a better perspective than sitting there watching it with white knuckles as it unfolds live in front of you.

To be fair to him, and this is not like me at all, he did try very hard and put himself about in a way that no one else we've got can do. Still think he's yesterday's news and we have better options as a team, but perhaps I'm getting too serious over this.

Then again, perhaps not - we all want what we think is best as individuals, and we can't change that.
