With Rosicky in top form and our midfield working well, should we bench Jack ? As Wenger says the team is winning and there is no point in changing it..

IMHO as long as Rosicky is playing so well we need to start him. The schedule is not demanding, the guy is fresh, so there is no real need to rest him. And let us be honest - as good as JW is, TR is better.

PS Of course there is Ramsey...

Worst comment ever. No way is Rosicky better than Wilshere.

I'd rotate to bring Jack back slowly and not cause Thomas any problems. Play either for 60 / 70mins a game and the other for the last bit.
TR has a LOT to offer, and it's a massive shame he hasn't played more this season.

Agreed, Rosicky has looked a bit sluggish going into the latter stages of games, so it would be perfect to bring Jack on for 25 minutes when he's back to fitness.

Drop Ramsey, play Jack alongside Arteta. Problem solved.

Ramsey in CM is the reason why our midfield has so much balance and is in sync now, not to mention Arteta and Ramsey have a good partnership going on.
By dropping Ramsey we sacrifice that balance and will get dominated in midfield while we are defending because Jack is too attacking oriented

Apart from Reading at home, when have our midfield been balanced and in sync?

Relatively. Or you'd rather we go gung ho in midfield and get caught out because of over attacking (like we've been for most of the season)
Andthe midfield has looked balanced recently during our winning run barring the last 20 minutes of the WBA match

No one should have the right to just walk into the team, including Wilshere. At the moment the team is winning without a couple of our previous cast iron starters. I am not a fan of Giroud and don't think he should be playing, but even struggle to come up with a strong argument to drop him while we're winning (but would still prefer a fit Podolski to start.

I don't believe that any of the aforementioned players should be "dropped". Wilshere IS the future of this club, as is Ramsey. Rosicky obviously has earned a place among them and definitely deserves more playing time, however his career is almost over. With Diaby out for the rest of the season that should free up midfield berths, and Ramsey as well as Wilshere would benefit in the long run playing more of a holding role like Diaby or Arteta have been. I say no one gets dropped but the midfield spreads the time around a little more since it would not be fair to the well-performing players at the moment, nor to the future of Arsenal if we bench people with such potential.

I also don't believe that these players are "walking into the team". They all practice week in, week out, unless injured like Wilshere has been, and all prove their own brilliance time and again. I know I'm not just speaking for myself by saying that I was surprised at the speed and the pazazz that Wilshere had when he returned in October.

If we were talking about Frimpong or say another recently promoted youth team player that would be a different story, but we are not. Share the wealth! As they say...

OK. No one can argue with all that. This is all obvious. But my question is simple: Who is starting against Everton if all our midielders are fit?

Provided the midfield is playing well and scoring goals it should remain unchanged, wilshire should be on the bench until he either comes on as a sub and puts in a great performance (such as winning us a game) or one of the other midfielders has a poor game. If it aint broke don't fix it, this has been part of our problem in the past, certain players knowing that they were starters no matter how they played (im not talking about jack here). This way wilshire will know he has to play extremely well when he gets the chance to play, if he wants to get into the team, and ramsey, rosicky and carzola know they have to keep performing or jack will take their place.

Fair question. I would not bench Rosicky or Ramsey for Wilshere at this moment in time with such a pivotal game on the horizon. Unless Wilshere does something amazing during training to prove that he is back to 100% and should be starting again, the start should go to Rosicky, with Wilshere coming off of the bench.

Starting midfield 4 - Rosicky, Cazorla, Arteta, and Ramsey.

    Never change a winning team!
We're doing well at the moment and there is no need to rush Wilshere in.
