At least its put us out of our misery and the dashed hopes can stop.
No it don't. Unlikely though it it, we can still win all 6 and stay up, or even less if other results go our way.
you have only won 4 games all season so how you will win all the 6 games left is the highest delusion of clutching at straws i have ever seen......good on you.....![]()

Getting back to the OP, that really does sum up our season in one game.
Bobby - bad judgement and bad luck. Split second to make the call while Dowd spends 5 minutes analysing it.
Mbia - from hero to zero in a matter of minutes.
Mackie - not a very canny Scot. Hold the damn thing in the corner.
Adel - why are you ducking? Take a lesson from Clint who took a cannonball in the face and shrugged it off!
Cesar - incredibly good or costing us the Villa game.
Samba - why weren't you at the right of the wall. Who decided that?
The list goes on.
So many games have featured flashes of brilliance but those have been negated by the error strewn performances along the way.
Sums up our season indeed. The trick now is to make sure it does not become the pattern for next season!
For what it's worth, Townsend MOTM by a country mile despite Remy's great goal.
For a neutral it was a shame that Wigan equalised but , as a Saints fan, I think this weekend has been pivotal in securing our survival. Although we won our previous games, all the teams below us seemed to win as well so that we were unable to ull away.
Listening to Redknapp this evening in the post-match interview, I think I cannot ever recall hearing him sound quite so dejected. When he took Saints down there seemed to be constant swiping at the squad he inhterited. The QPR team has largely been re-built by Redknapp and perhaps this accounts for him sounding so down in the dumps. I did think that QPR could have pulled off the impossible given the quality of the players but it will be difficult for you to avoid the drop now - even though the calibre of Ranger's team would probably have done really well starting from scratch next season.
I was a bit sad to see Reading go down as they were easily the best team in the Championship last season and deserved promotion. With Adkins in charge i think they will have a good stab at promotion next season but they were easily the worst team in the PL in 2012/13 by a country mile. It is a shame that Wigan and Stoke haven't taken up theother two spots - especially the latter as they are dreadful to watch. As someone stated on this board last week, QPr were scuppered by Mark Hughes and Redknapp had a very difficult task. It will be a shame to see QPR relegated as at least you try to play football and you are very similar in status to Saints.
