Morgan was immense today - even the Mail-Online made the point also. But great team performance - no 6's from me - all minimum 7. Jay-R is knocking on the England dressing room door for me. Good day for us - cannot believe we are 11th!!!!!!!!

I realise you're just using the expression to illustrate your delight. Yes, we are playing better than an 11th placed team. Where would we be if we'd have been playing this well all season..? That's a hard one, but way better than 11th, that's for sure. Probably as high as top 6. No, I haven't lost my mind. Saints form of the moment, played out all season, is way better than most teams in the division.

You are only as good as the league table says... However, it is so important that we keep this form going right to the end. Form doesn't end when the season does and how we finish this season could well dictate how we start the next one.

Guys, not getting ahead of myself - I predicted a solid 17th position at the start of the season and would be happy with that TBH. That said; and picking up on ImpsSaints point: a good league finish makes us more attractive to players interested in the EPL and also keeps the wolves at bay (agents) from trying to persuade our players to move on just so that they earn some fat commission. Honestly - I feel that anything above 15th is an absolute bonus to us for the coming season.

I've been hearing non-Saints fans describing Morgan as the best holding midfielder in the league. Seems people are paying attention now.

Absolutely. But this is essentially a new era for the team. There are people who have been saying that the team would have progressed under Nigel to this point also. I would say no, there has been a definite step up in the level. Back track this kind of level of play to the beginning of the season and Saints would be way above 11th. And, as you say, we need to keep this level going. No traditional Saints slow starts next season. The momentum of the last few needs to be kept going.

Quite. Just look at how poorly Sunderland and Stoke started the season - both continued where they had left off from last season. And whilst both picked it up during the second quarter of the season, that poor start is starting to come back and haunt both. Same applies to Norwich.
