Wow, Madrid game just now, kick to the face and studs to the chin 3 seconds apart and not even a yellow card. Real Consistant reffing in the CL.

Don't know who I want to win the semi between City and Chelsea, and not sure who I want to win the champions league, would be funny if Spurs and Everton took 3rd and 4th though but think it will be Spurs and Arsenal

i hope it is spurs and arsenal too.. even though many Arsenal fans wish £££ win the league instead of us <doh> they are really class <ok>

Post number 36 backs up DL's very well thought through assessment that Benitez has achieved more in football than Sir Alex.

He has, he's won trophies in Europe's top 3 leagues and tactically outwitted your beloved Fergie numerous times, last week being the most recent example as well as 2 weeks prior to that.

I don't rate the guy at all but he's had relative success abroad, something Fergie doesn't and never will have of his CV.

You do realise that not even Liverpool fans try to claim such nonsense. Why do you think that is DL?

Why is a comparatively small amount of success abroad the barometer of who has achieved more in football? Why does the context behind his "success" abroad matter in that thread, but not in this comparison? You belittle his titles in Spain, while his time at Inter was a flop considering what he inherited.

You're just moving the goalposts to fit whatever point you want to make.

Each to their own but for me a measure of a manager is to be able to repeat success on a different format.
