You see this is why i'm confused. Does Gerard Kelly look and sound like Richard O'Brien in any way?
I'll grant you they are both camp but O'Brien speaks in a fairly posh English accent and is as bald as a billiard ball, whereas Gerard Kelly has a broad Scots accent and has a full head of hair.

Tall, surly and hostile, Banks dominates A-wing accompanied by two other bullies (Richards and Eckersley) and has an arrangement with the warders to keep 'order' and gain a percentage of other inmates money and tobacco.

Eckersley is an inmate who forms the other third of the gang who target Carlin and the newcomers upon their arrival at the institution. Although he makes general threats about his facility to be violent, he is mainly a lookout for Banks and Richards and is seen mainly as a coward.
