"I'd imagine there's not much more they can learn or prove at under 21s either, they've all shown they can perform at that level and some of them are probably above that too. If they don't learn anything from the short loan spell they could still return having proven that they're able to play at that level."

End of year exams ?? :D

Lloris injury is a bit of worry given Miles went on loan.

They all performed well. Nathan Byrne came on and did very well and I thought Dean Parrett created a lot of chances. Massimo Luongo did well and got involved straightaway.

The comments of Swindon manager Kevin MacDonald on our loanees after yesterdays 1-1 draw with Oldham.

Given that Swindon are in the fight for promotion/playoff places, this is a good chance for the
boys to show their stuff. One would assume that if they do ok and Swindon get promoted,
some of them would get their loans extended.

Swindon have Doncaster (top of the table) away Tommorow. Their goal difference is far superior to any other team in the league and they could win it, never mind just promotion of playoff's. Winning a championship at such a young age will be great for the lads out on loan and should also fill them with a lot of confidence next season. Hopefully like you say, their loans will be extended and they'll be able to push on at a tougher level.

Obika not in the Charlton squad this evening for their game at Brighton. Not sure if he's injured or out of favour.

Early days, but at least the trio are all getting good game time and also good reviews. The one loan deal which isn't working out, is Ryan Mason's. He's barely getting picked, on his own in another country and is feeling well pissed off.

Got the impression that he wasn't too impressed from the off. He made a few dodgy comments on social media sites, without actually saying anything inflammatory.
I like Mason, but I think he may have to leave Spurs in the summer and drop down a division or two in order to kickstart his career.

Donny are a good side atm, harsh baptism against top of the table, its just a boost if you can do well in these games, plenty of time for them all as you say.

Poor Ryan, its a downward spiral when you're mind isn't on it if you're pissed off, must be showing in training hence not being picked, what can you do!

Doncaster wasn't their baptism mate, that was on Good Friday against Oldham, when depending on which report you read, take your pick from Parrett or Luongo for MOM. Plus, Byrne came on as sub and made the assist for their equalising goal.

Getting back to Mason, I feel for him, because he has a football brain and this was a deal which TS set up and has not worked out. Mason deserves better imo.

    <ok>.

Its not like I hadn't read the post further back commending them! <yikes> <doh> <laugh>

Sounds Like Ryans move was rushed with no thought given to what might go wrong.

One positive piece of injury news is that Alex Pritchard returned to Peterborough on Wednesday and is in contention for their game this weekend.

Big, big game for them, too. It's unlikely he'll start, but it'd be nice to mark his return with some impact from the bench.
A win over Huddersfield would be massive, especially away from home.

A couple of ex-Spurs players gained promotion today with Gillingham, namely Charlie Lee and Tommy Forecast.
