The toffess have away games to come against us, the Goons, Pool, and Chelsea last day of the season...I'm not too concerned about them.
It's all about remaining in the mix at this stage of the season, they're in a good position to take advantage of teams slipping up so they're a worry whilst they're there.
Well, I've got to say that 'Pool surprised me, again. They seem to be fighting really hard to protect that 7th spot of theirs. Mind you, only Reading seem to be more incompetent than Villa, at the moment, so I'm not sure how much glory the Mousers can take from this result. Still, I reckon it'll be rocking down on the banks of the Mersey, tonight, as Mousers dust-off the bunting, and those Cilla Black records.
They surprised me too. We don't often survive going a goal down these days. We're very brittle. Would say Sunderland and QPR are worse than Villa right now too, not that it matters. Benteke is some player - very very impressive yesterday. Could be a potential target for you lot this summer?
I'm sure he'll be a target for a lot of clubs, especially if Villa do go down. If our chairman's history is anything to go by, I'm sure we'll get outbid.
I'd rather play Villa at the moment than QPR, but I'd have definitely agreed with you about Sunderland before Di Canio took over. They looked beaten as soon as they took to the field on the weekend. Redknapp's instilled some belief at Loftus Road and made them a lot harder to beat and the same could happen with the fascist at the SoL. Benteke would do a very good job for us, in my opinion. Still only 22 as well, so he'd seem to fit as a Levy buy.
I can see it happening, especially as Adebayor is having his usual second season flop. Seriously looked the real deal yesterday - skill, awareness, pace, strength... We couldn't handle him.
We have two useless strikers. Indeed, they are quite possibly the two worst strikers in the EPL. I'd rather have any other striker than either Adebayor or Defoe, at this point in time. And let's be honest about it, Defoe has been useless for quite some time, now.
It's great to see that we are dominating 'Pool in every department, at the moment. Not only are we far superior than 'Pool in the EPL, but our youngsters are ensuring that the Spurs of future will continue to relegate 'Pool to mid-table obscurity.
why would Suarez take the step down to Spurs. He will leave Liverpool to go to Barca or Madrid, not a side that has at best Europa hopes over the next few years
I'm pretty sure we're 3rd at the moment so I wouldn't exactly say we're at best going to get in the Europa League over the coming years. Not sure why you think that would be a step down from Liverpool either.
Spurs would be a massive step up for him, I think we all know that. One can imagine just how disappointed he has been with the "mighty" 'Pool. He will have heard stories about what a great club LFC was, but won't have realised, until after he had been conned into signing, that all of that was a very, very long time ago, before he was born, in fact. Yes, he's fallen for the bull5hit and he's given the club a chance, but he must now realise that 'Pool are a very long way from making any serious challenge for European honours, and he will look at Spurs (and the fantastic squad and set-up that we have) with envious eyes, and wish that he was a part of it. He'd be far too much of a liability for a club like Barca or Real. I'm not really sure I want him at Spurs. As I say, he'd have to undergo a massive improvement in his attitude to win me over.
