Okay, what should be known here is that while the Liverpool mods did make the request, brb gave the option to united mods to veto it and i chose not to, so i'm the one to lay into if you're unhappy about it.

Simple facts are he had a meltdown on here last night. Made those references, well short of apologetic when called out on it. I don't know how i'm expected to step in and defend that?

Please tell me I am intrigued.

Also, I am not so sure you know who means what when they say that, the fact that you are so absolute in your statement says tons BB when you have no idea of the inner workings of other fan's minds.

Do you see what I am getting at? that you are putting far far too much weight in your opinion, when NOF was challenged on it he did not clarify what he meant, and from his responses asking it was quite clear to me anyways he meant it in the worst sense<ok>
 
You know what BB, leave it, no point in dragging this out, if you don't like the way the site is being modded then go elsewhere or become a mod on all boards

The murders chant is, was, always has been and always will be about Heysel, nothing else. As much as you Liverpool fans would like it to be about Hillsborough so you can be offended by it, it isn't.



Did I miss something when I've been away? Another poster banned then, won't be long before everyone is banned and they can quietly shut down the website.

I can't believe you've taken the moral high ground with such total ignorance of the facts.

The chant in question is used by United & Everton fans when Liverpool are the opposition. I have already said I don't condone the chant nor do I use it, but it is 100% about Heysel & always has been.

I'm sick & tired of hearing ignorant red ****e link it, totally incorrectly to Hillsborough. The 2 events are totally seperate & no Evertonian that I know would ever have a pop about Hillsborough.

Moral high ground, no, did I request he be banned, no, I answered him myself yet you feel the need to champion NOF when he's been a complete tit. Alright lads, yes I was banned. Yesterday I tried to engage in a discussion with a few of the Liverpool lot about the Rio/Anton chanting at the England game. My point was that I understood why the fans were chanting about Rio but considered the inclusion of Anton in the chant to have a more sinister motivation. After all, the guy has never played for England! The basic response I got was that Rio was a prick and I was a tool for not accepting that (the usual insults some of them like to dish out). I pointed out repeatedly that I hadn't defended Rio and was more interested in their views on Anton being chanted about by England fans. Ultimately their argument was that it was all to do with Rio and it's just a common terrace chant that no United fan could complain about as we sing our own version of it. Basically they wanted to focus on Rio and make it a club bias issue with no interest in the bigger issue of casual racism potentially still being too common in the game (they don't like admitting that it could be a problem, they prefer to focus on vilifying the victim!). Any attempt to try and get them to drop the Rio obsession and discuss Anton was met with insults.

So I thought I'd try a little experiment to see how they'd react to something that they find offensive and yes I did refer to them as the Murderers by saying the Murderers had a good result against Villa. Obviously I was immediately set upon and responded to their outrage in my best Scouse manner ie giving back a bit of abuse (except for Luvgonzo who's a good lad). I was subsequently banned. If there's one thing some of the Liverpool fans on here have proven it's that they think they have a god given right to dish it out but will quickly revert to outrage and victim mode when they see something that offends them. I see some are now hiding behind Hillsborough when they know the reference is about Heysel, an event they persistently try to airbrush out of history.

I should add that the comment, which I admit was designed to provoke a reaction and a demonstration of their hypocrisy, was posted on the United board so you'll all have to accept that you're now being closely scrutinised by the legion of Liverpool mods. I understand why JC went along with the decision, I imagine he had a number of their mods whining as only they can. I also don't blame JC for thinking I'd lost the plot as I was deliberately giving them a taste of their own. I often think some of the Liverpool fans are nuts!

I expect this account to be banned as well but I could well be back! I'll also continue to post using my Liverpool account. It always amuses me that I can make the likes of BBF agree with me on something if I say it as a Liverpool poster but he'll launch into drunken Slur Baconface mode if he sees the same thing posted by a United fan.

Disappointing result today but a great goal by Ba and an absolutely brilliant save by Cech. Chelsea deserved the win.

It's not bollocks it's 100% fact you plank. However, no doubt it would be greeted with the same response you've given the facts i.e. with total ignorance, from the rest of the armchair, out of town wools that make up your number.

Before shouting the odds on such a sensitive subject, it might help if you actually understood it <ok> However, given that you're a paddy living in Finland, it's hardly a surprise that you've not got a scooby what it's all about.

It's also not a matter of conjecture or opinion soft arse, it's a matter of fact.

THAT CHANT IS ABOUT HEYSEL, which NOF quite rightly says is something that reds would love to airbrush out of their history & will readily use Hillsborough to try & deflect the mention of it, into something totally different. I have always found that repulsive tbh.

We're adults, if that's ok with you? As long as it stays at talking about it and within reasonable boundaries then I see absolutely no reason whatsoever why it should not be discussed by grown men.

However, first mention of Heysel the ****e shift the debate onto Hillsborough & switch into victim mode - same as it ever was........
