For what it is worth this "ferdinand was racially abused" argument is doing a huge disservice to anti racism. It seems that some people have decided this to get headlines. It is very similar to those who claimed spurs fans calling each other and spurs players "yiddo's" was anti semetic and claiming it encouraged racists to attack spurs fans in Europe.
There may be a valid discussion about why the chanting against ferdinand was distasteful and about why we spurs fans may be wrong
but to accuse people of racism to make cheap points is plainly unhelpful and belittles the very real and damaging effects of racism.
EVERY club has it section of **** fans that may also be racist...this thread has been kind of turned into a "chelsea fans are racist scum" thread and as far as I am concerned that is cheap and tasteless wumming.
Dont get me wrong I think all things chelsea are ****ish but not racist
