Right on Welly, sorry, am a bit slow as in bed with the flu'....but hearing this show brings much joy, eh? Loach, after nervy start doing ok...always liked him and never knew why he was dropped all those months ago.
Yes I will eat my humble pie as I thought he would never score for us!! I must remember in future to make sure that I am explicit in what a say, as some may take things literally!! When they say the ref blows up for full time, do u take that literally aswell, listening to football matches must be hillarious for you!!
Big shame that suddenly all the other results are going against us!! It would be nice for a change that when we win others around us don't win!! But not much we can do about it!!
**** off, you slagged McG off from the day he came to us, start your backtracking now if you want (I wouldn't blame you)... But here's the question... Do you still stand by your statement, McG, "never a goalscorer"...simple yes or no answer...
I actually said I thought he was a good player just not a goalscorer which if u take it literally as it seems you did, means I was completely wrong but anyone who would say that a striker was never a goalscorer in the literal sense would be pretty stupid!! So I will retract my statement just for you because I can see you're struggling to comprehend what I meant by it, I'll replace it with he's not a natural goalscorer and will never consistently score alot of goals throughout his career!! Am I the only one thinking this argument is ridiculous??
I think that it was ridiculous to describe McG as "never a goalscorer"...and I'd hope now (with the benefit of hindsight and all that...) you do too.
You're ridiculous!! But ignoring the WUM, great result today just a shame nearly all those around us won aswell, what a ridiculous league this is!!
Incredible 6 clean sheets and only conceded 4 in 10!! Have we ever had an ITFC team do that before let alone the same defence who conceded 4 goals in 1 game on a regular basis!!
PTC The really good teams are built from the back and this is something that Mick must take all the credit for since he's been here. Yes we haven't been scoring many bjut more importantly we haven't been conceding them either and this will always give you a chance. Not pretty at times and damn right frustrating but Mick must take the plaudits for making us so hard to beat Only 3 goals conceded in 8 games Wow just WOW!
It's amazing. We win but yet we're still only four points ahead of the chasing pack. The league is nuts this year.
Yup, great result if more than lucky to survive 1st half. 3 months ago we would have caved in and been 3 down at half time! Interestingly...if we had gone a goal or two behind..and lost the plot...we would now be 1 pt off releg zone! Hmmm...methinks we need every point we can get, and 1 at the Den would be great Easter job done. Very happy townies tonight and a Happy Easter to you all on here!
Very true, he's done what's been needed!! I along with most of us was worrying particularly after the Huddersfield game because I think there was a danger he was becoming too negative and not actually trying to win games but after a few games I think he's got a bit more positive again. I think bringing Drury in the centre has helped with this rather than having 2 DMs in the centre!! One thing from today, I would be happy if Edwards was out of the team for the next game, I'm not sure there are many players in the team who could perform consistently poorly as he does yet still play!!
I think we still need 3 wins from 7. Problem is almost everyone in the bottom 2/3rds are still picking up wins in a regular basis. Just how crazy is this division this season; Cardiff losing at Posh today & Birmingham getting 4 at palace...!!!
