Just to update you guys we may be sticking with this current version instead. I think that means we almost certainly are so post away like normal and if we do move back to yesterday's one I'm sure we'll have some warning so essentials like the prediction leagues and my comments can be saved and reposted <ok>

The forum will then consist of a fine collection of Yid Vicious comments and nothing else.

This goes for the players of the other prediction league also. I have taken an offline copy just now, but if your predictions have gone, I have no record of them so please re-enter. Probably best after the all clear as Spurf says, but I will take copies from time to time if you don't want to go to the wire.

If old predictions come back and you have added a new one, I will take the oldest version (although PM me if you want to discuss that).

Does anyone know why when starting Chrome I kept on getting bounced to the malware warning page? I hadn't even attempted to go to 606. I cleared my browsing history and stored password. Does 606 maintain some other kind of log within Chrome that would cause this? It was annoying because for the duration of this "attack" I was unable to use Chrome at all.

Trojan-Horse PISKIE must have compromised your system and targeted your chrome browser, these Peskie Trojan Horses are vicious, annoying little buggers, they can seem impossible at times to get rid of, returning when you least want them too and just when you believe you have finally cleaned your system, up they pop.

Luckily for you, Trojan-Horse PISKIE has decided to move on, now not606 has a clean bill of health, but be warned for future outbreaks, you will have to up your security.

Not sure as I don't use Chrome, I'll pass the problem on though to see if anyone else has a solution.

I use Chrome and I didn't experience the same problem.
I'm of no help, I'm afraid.

    Hope this helps Vim.

i have cleared all cookies and history and restarted the computer and if i go through google, i get the warning messages. thankfully i have this place stored in my favourites which let me in with no issues.

Apparently the Google warning has gone from everything except Chrome browsers but you can access the site directly without any problems. Here's the link if needed: http://www.not606.com/forumdisplay.php/27-Tottenham-Hotspur

Thanks for that. I cleared everything I could, but I'd still like to know what was left and where.

Theres no logical reason why chrome would stop functioning all together, just because one site was restricted due to malware, as if all cookies and cache are cleared then the browser has no memory to work from, so will start afresh.

Unless you had not606 set as your homepage so each time you started it went straight to the malware page, this type of thing usually happens when you have a virus and it sets your homepage for you.

Try Using CrapCleaner to clean your system of all junk if you have any issues next time.

Yes, an exceptionally tiresome and stubborn virus that one. Almost impossible to eliminate as it has the hide of a Rhinoceros - not to mention the sensibility of one, too!..

I did a system restore back to the day before the malware started and it seems to be ok now.
I have a virus program called Avast and it has stopped alerting the compromised site.
