When do you think that promotion will be confirmed .Personally I think that the title and promotion will be sealed against the dons well hoping anyway as it looks as if Burton will only give us 400 tickets so as said before a lot of fans may miss out on seeing gills win the league and lift the trophy .I wonder if the club will put up big screens in preistfield if it goes down to the final game .

gavingills - please don't give me a heart attack this early in the day !
I can find NO official confirmation of your numbers.
Burton's ground is small - capacity just under 7000. The 'away' terrace holds just under 1400. I would expect that Gills would be given this end of the ground - and thereby allow a natural segregation of fans.
I think that the 400 tickets to which you refer, is the number that Burton 'usually' offer in the side stand - next to home fans. I doubt that these will be permitted by the police........................... unless you can provide any 'official' information.

Must admit, my assumption's would be we will receive around 1,400 tickets. I had seen that figure quoted but probably someone in knowledge of ground capacity similar to alwaysright's comments. Not sure what Burton's average attendance is and whether they would fill their ground, which could give us more tickets. As I say all assumptions.

alwaysright - when the tickets go on sale and as season ticket holders, shall we buy a job lot. I can claim two season tickets allocation. I expect you can claim about as much. We have to get an incentive sometime this season <laugh><whistle> Only joking people.

    Where ?

Burton's ground capacity is 6900. This season's average attendance is 2627. Their last 3 home games has been an average of 2557.

I don't expect us to get (m)any seats - but for natural separartion of fans the away end can hold just under 1400.

brb - are you looking to sell on our surplace tickets on E bay ? It's the only chance that season ticket holders can gain an incentive.

It would be nice if we could get promoted after beating Rotherham on Easter Monday for several reasons. Firstly I'm going to the game and I'm taking my girlfriend to see her first Gills match and hopefully catch the bug, Secondly its going to be a great atmosphere with it being a bank holiday and more people should in theory be able to attend. However probably the most satisfying reason would be to see Steve Evans face if we get promoted in front of him and stuff his team at the same time:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Hopefully you will have won promotion by the time of the Wimbledon game. Also hope that game will be the game when you get presented with the title as I will be there and would be great for you to finish a great season by lifting a trophy.

ha ha. No I wouldn't do that to my fellow fans, despite the fact that if I worked it out with all the incentives and missing games due to hols and midweek work, I probably have not saved much if anything. I shall have to work it out.

I think Scally needs to throw a few more incentives in the season ticket for L1 next season. For example why not offer discounts on stuff like wine and dine? Why not introduce discounts on food and drink, including beer in the BRC? There is so much they can do and still make further sales from those incentives.

Anyway I hope we pick up the title at home to AFC Wimbledon (sorry berni) but I guess in regards to tickets for Burton, then that decision has to be made well beforehand.

Not sure but didn't there used to be a figure (10% I think) based on the away teams home attendances?
I know that would assume the opposition had the capacity but Burton do.

Edit made due to a senior brain fart!

Thats the situation for FA Cup games, but I'm not sure it applies to league matches. Didn't some years ago ,Luton banned all away fans?

From an unofficial source I have heard that the mini bus containing the Accrington fans will be housed in my 'shed' - and that the club have given away more tickets to Medway's youngsters - who will be put in the BMS ( I bloody well hope it rains this afternoon )
