Maybe we should do a "How did we all end up here" thread to :) See what brought us all here.

I was poached from bbc606 when it was announced it was shutting down. Just saw not606 mentioned, had a look and ended up staying :D

Out of the big dogs.
JA606- Is really rubbish, I didnt even like the original BBC layout just the people.
Muzz606 - They didnt let me on as they probably mistaken me for somebody else  Should have signed up with my original 606 name :bandit:
CTA: Arggh all the idiots went there. And that Brogan chap was the worst of them.
Not606: good layout. May have had the wums to start off with but we soon cleaned them out <ok>

I followed BBC606 for a week or so before it disbanded (I wasn't actually a member), and heard about Not606 as it closed down. Didn't actually have a look at it 'till a couple months later. Saw a few names I recognised, it seemed like a good forum, so I joined almost straight away as soon as I saw it.

Brightlampshede, poco montoya... the big ones? ;)

I'm an original 606 refugee, but when it closed down kind of went off the whole forum thing for a while came back as here there seemed to be less WUMS and better chat. Still remember the old days of Lorca and his multiple aliases and the legendary 'plank mangement' post after Australia 2011.

Lurked but hardly ever posted on BBC 606
Came over to Not606 mainly to the Liverpool board, saw this forum and popped over for a browse, rest is history.

I was pretty much the same. I only really found 606 a couple of weeks before it shut down, so as soon as the topic of where to move came up, I decided to be an early-adopter. I originally signed up just to talk football, but when the F1 board (or originally Motorsport I believe) was added, along with NickHCAFC I was one of the first to contribute. Never liked the layout of old 606, so that ruled out ja606, and Muzz, CTA, etc only talked motorsport.

There was a lot of anti-not606 propaganda at the time of the old606's demise but when I checked it out I liked it best because people here didn't take themselves too seriously but I wondered if it might be a bit cliquey. Without a PhD in aerodynamic nitpicking and general pedantry there was no way I was ever going to CTA and ja606 looked like it would be WUM central. Needless to say, I think I made the right choice. Thank you for having me.:emoticon-0111-blush

Not606 refugee at the end of 2010, was a bit of a fanboy on bbc 606. When I joined there were a couple of people on here, got to know them.
Trolls got sweeped, and basically made many many friends on here. Nowhere better than this. Organised chaos if you will.:emoticon-0105-wink:

NickHAFC and Elbando were here with me many moons ago, I hope to stay for as long as I last.

I was a poster on the BBC606 board and joined this one on the back of that. I didnt like the BBC606, alot of one sided discussions and commenst would be deleted for no reason which sort of sums up society (IMO) - people being offended for the sake of being offended - if you know what I mean?

This board is very open and discussions are active, fair and competitive - the mods policy/actions are excellent and consistent (IMO).

I was on the BBC 606 for a couple of months right at the end but I tended to lurk all the time. Never really made much of an impact on the F1 forum though. Signed up here when BBC 606 got shut down, abandoned it for a few months, then received a little reminder e-mail. Been around ever since. Though I don't post on the Newcastle forum any more.

But now we can attract even people who weren't on 606 <diva> WE ARE THE BESTEST

I followed the BBC 606 for a while and never joined that forum. Then it closed down and saw that all the reasonable people came to this forum. I followed this forum very on and off for a while and then finally decided to join around August last year. I'm not here all that often, but its always a really nice place to come for (mostly) reasonable discussion on F1, especially considering my grandfather is the only person I can really have a conversation with here in America.

Anyone else noticed that Silver deleted his info? Perhaps he's not coming back... :emoticon-0106-cryin

I hope he does, the place wouldn't be the same without him. :) I don't know what happened really. I know he had a bit of a tiff with Sgt but it looked like a storm in a teacup to me. Was there something else?

I got sick of the continuous Vettel tripe and his moaning about Hamilton / McLaren coverage etc. Got a bit short tempered with it all and told him to shut the hell up basically. I did actually PM him suggesting that we should just learn to co-exist somehow, but no response I'm afraid.

Since most others can live with it, it would have probably been wiser for me to bite my tongue. If you're reading Silver... come back. I'll do my level best to remain in the off-topic board. :p

He'll be back...he's still posting his predictions on zdkf1 under the not606 banner :p

And don't worry I know the feeling ;)

Yeah, Sarge, we all know the feeling. And it's not as if Silver doesn't know it himself but when he's caught up in the moment... You know the rest! :) I do hope he comes back.
