I agree but I feel Villa have a distinct advantage over Wigan and QPR for that reason. There is no incentive for Sunderland and Fulham to go to Villa Park and win but Villa will be fired up. QPR still face Everton, Liverpool, Arsenal, Reading and Wigan all of whom have something to play for.

It can be done but QPR will have to be at their very best. The 2 week break will do everybody a world of good and give Cesar time to recapture his form. If he plays anywhere near as well as he did 6-8 weeks ago, that along with Samba's form and Townsend/Remy/Hoilett/Taarabt's glaringly obvious quality you'll be more than a match for any team.

As many have said if QPR were playing badly then relegation would be accepted but momentum and belief is still there and so long as it is there's always the chance.

Sunderland and West Ham fans should worry most. I feel Norwich and Newcasle have enough in them to not get dragged back in.

Southampton have improved under Pochettino and come out with (comfortable) wins against Liverpool and City as well as a draw v Everton so after playing Chelsea they have a good run of fixtures and IMO will finish on 40 points or thereabouts.

Yes, I thought West Ham were relatively safe after that win away at Stoke but they seem to be right back in the mix again. The trouble is that if they are in the mix then by implication we will need to be picking up 37-38 probably. We have 5 winnable games (three of the four homes and two of the away ones) but there is no room for any slip ups and that is what worries me. We are at the whim of some more bad luck or a dodgy decision which can affect any one of those games. The margin for error is virtually nil.

please do explain how every single team below west ham is in free fall? as far as i can see, reading are the only ones in free fall. villa/wigan/us are all certainly picking up vital wins and pulling away...

That's easy Jen as we all know form can desert anyone at anytime: Results can turn

After the 1st we could just 5 points behind you by the eight just 2 points as Reading may well beat you and we may beat Fulham and Wigan.

I think it has the exact potential because of the fixtures and form to be a right battle. I think no one is in Free Fall and I agree with you but the potential is still there and we are actually playing very well ... all will become clear

Villa have the potential to go into freefall, Sunderland are dire. The worst teams right now are Villa, Sunderland and Reading but those wont be the 3 that go down.

    From Goal. com

say Adel thinks we can stay up.

    ""
The Moroccan midfielder admits his dismay at the club's most recent defeat to Aston Villa but insists that the Loftus Road outfit are confident and focused on the future

Adel Taarabt insists that, despite the daunting task that lies ahead, QPR can still avoid relegation from the Premier League.

The Hoops sit seven points adrift of safety at the foot of the table following a disappointing 3-2 defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday but the Morocco international has called for Harry Redknapp's men to focus on the matches ahead rather than dwell on the loss.

    QPR LATEST

7/2 QPR are 7/2 with William Hill to avoid relegation from the Premier League

"For us we cannot look behind anymore, we have to look forward and try to win the rest of the games as much as we can," Taarabt told the club's official website.

"We still believe. There are eight games left - 24 points to play for - so we know what we have to do and we will try to do that."

The attacking midfielder, who has been absent from the starting lineup since February 23, is not among the QPR contingent departing for international fixtures and so featured in a reserve match against West Ham to keep up his fitness, scoring in a 3-1 defeat for the Rs.

"It was more important to get some minutes so I'm pleased to have played a full 90, that was the main thing," he noted after the game.

"We have two weeks off so for the first-team players it was really useful.

"We are looking forward to Fulham now. We know how they play, they will be confident after beating Tottenham. We have to go there and try to win."

Any chance he'd do his talking on the pitch and actually help keep us up?

We've been hearing this tripe every week from one player or another and personally, I'm a bit sick of it.

Disagree, I agree Villa aren't the best in terms of quality but they have improved since the New Year and put in impressive displays at Goodison, Hawthorns and the Liberty as well as a decent performance at the Emirates. Their style of play is much more suited to playing away from home and they are a young and inexperienced team so when they concede early, the crowd tend to get on their back.

QPR, Villa and Southampton have all improved, the worst teams right now are Reading, Sunderland and Stoke. Sunderland's next 4 games are against Man Utd, Chelsea, Newcastle and Everton which means they will inevitably get dragged in. QPR's next 4 games are against Fulham, Everton, Wigan and Stoke. That gap can easily be clawed back

Qpr will improve abet just one place, i think reading will be bottom with qpr and maybe villa to fill the third relegation spot.....Its more or less settled now with harry not achieving any improvement in the position and as he have not done it by now he never will.....all the bottom clubs are picking up points that scuppers any points qpr are lucky to get and now we will have a couple of weeks break under our belt all teams will get their players fit for the last few games, I cant see where qpr are going to be better than any of the bottom teams and the only battle i can see is the battle with reading on who will finish bottom.....that is the reality of the situation...

We're one win away from everyone believing again.

Do we believe we can win our next game?

    I do.
