He did wrong confronting the Wigan player, of course. But the ridiculous thing is that the whole moment escalated when the Wigan coach waded in and forcefully pushed the Newcastle coach away. He could have just got been them, shepherded his player away and much of the issue would have been ended, there and then. Of course, 15 minutes later they were sat in the stand together.
In other news, rock bottom Accrington Stanley beat AFC Wimbledon with Francis Jeffers [yes, that Francis Jeffers] scoring twice before being subbed on 80 minutes by James Beattie, and one of Accrington's other goals in a 4-0 win was scored by failed Saint Lee Molyneux. He also scored a hat-trick at the weekend. Not bad for a LB. I think he's finally found his comfort zone. Good luck to him.
Molyneux just can't stop scoring at the moment. It's incredibly tight at the bottom of Div 2. Anyone of 9 teams could go down.
I never know what to think when former good players are in the lower leagues. Do they love football so much they won't give it up? Or have they been so bad with money they can't afford to give it up?
Well, in the case of Molyneux, he's only young still and wants to make a living out of his skill. Beattie's got a few bob. He just wants to stay in football, and lives in the South, driving upto Accrington to coach, train and play.
