R.I.P. <peacedove>

"there car"

FFS, I despair, I really ****in do.

24 and 23!? Both look about 45.

Awful what happened - pretty much confirmed for the rest of the world how backward NI was. Still is, too.

I wonder what those who made that poster think of Michael Stone.

What is "the whole story" though, Dev?

I have a fair enough idea of what happened; i just thought the main body of confusion was as to why they were even in the vicinity of a Republican funeral and cortege, and that they weren't heavily armed either.

Was it a wrong turn, or were there other reasons?

If you knew the whole story it would break your heart. A truly awful incident which could have easily been avoided.

I remember watching it.back then and was sick to the stomach.

I also remember this pic in the Record the following day......

Gut wrenching stuff.

Fair point.

I hate all terrorist groups and terrorists.

‘There was no one else there, just the two bodies. And I went up to the one nearest me and he seemed still to be breathing. So I started to try to give him the kiss of life.

‘After a while a man came in behind me and said “Look Father, that man is dead”. I anointed him and went over to anoint the man three yards away, lying on his face.

‘Two women came over and covered him with a coat and said he was somebody’s son. I felt I had done my best to save them. I was very shocked. I had failed. It was a tragedy.’

As you say, gut wrenching. RIP.

Basically one of the guys was new to the job and was being shown around by the other guy who decided to drive past the funeral for a nosey. They should have been nowhere near the funeral.

Every second of the murders was caught on camera by a helicopter and worst of all there were armed undercover soldiers in among the crowd who could do nothing but watch on in horror. If they had tried to intervene they would have probably been killed too.

:(

That's pretty ****ing awful. I had read about the helicopter but didn't know there were also undercover ops in the crowd.

And it was only 25 years ago. Madness.

That you know more about a degenerate country and its pathetic troubles?

Aye and so does Rebel. Unfortunately for you 0 ****s are given by me.

Is that why you commented on my post then, because you don't give a ****? Or did you want to make a **** of yourself on purpose?

I know about it because I served in NI and because most of what happened to my fellow soldiers is in the public domain, likewise I was interested in this case because they were soldiers and so was I.

Do you need anything else explained you ****ing dickdrizzle?
