Derby have made an offer of around 1M for Martyn Waghorn and we have rejected it. Sven has said that Waghorn still has a future at the club but that can all change depending on how we do in the transfer market

    Other rumours

We are after Keiren Westwood and Paul Konchesky. And Aston Villa have made an offer for Sol Bamba for 2.6M

For that money i would sell Bamba as i think he is easily replaceable. Keep Hobbs, sell Bamba and get Heskey

..well I'm glad Derby's derisory bid turned down, would sell at 3 mill but then again no one going to bid that much for him, so he'll be staying here, think he'll be a real asset this coming season, a bit of fire in the belly, prove himself etc etc...

I'd prefer Konchesky to PVA anyday. Not that I think there aren't better left backs out there.

£2.6 mil is a lot for Bamba. Having said that we don't need the money and we do need centre backs.

I wouldn't want to see either him or Waghorn go, this Club needs characters like the old days.

I would take Westwood and Maynard in an instant

Heskey - heart says yes head says no. Would I rather him than Maynard, Schlupp, Kamara, Yak or Waghorn? No.

Dunne I wouldn't mind for a bit of experience. Dunne, Mee, Tunchev and Bamba sounds a great bunch of centre backs.

Do we need the money though? All we are going to do is either loan another Premier League centre back or buy one for around £2 million anyway. And then we'd need another one because we don't have enough. Why risk the new one (or two) being crap when we have a perfectly good centre back already and loads of cash? (supposedly)

Bamba was great at the start but since then he makes too many mistakes which people turn a blind eye to because he scores goals. Jack Hobbs is a better defender then Bamba

We aren't going to get Hobbs back though. He wants to play for Pearson. You could say people turn a blind eye to Bamba's mistakes, you could also say people have turned a blind eye to his terrific form in his first 9-10 games. He's obviosuly got potential and I think he's done more good than bad for us. I think there's more to come from him.

We should accept an offer that is over 10 times the amount we paid for Bamba only 5 months away, he's a top lad and all, but 2.6m is too much to refuse for him.

We could sign many a better player than him for that amount.

Plus i'd rather we still kept financially stable and not spend huge wages on players that will only bring relative success.

    I don't fancy doing a Portsmouth, or worse, a Cardiff o.o

...well unless Bamba really want's to go we need to keep him as he's done 5 months in the team, knows all about the set up etc, so a settled player is the type we want especially when he scores goals, might make a few mistakes, but so does Jack Hobbs, and John Terry come to that... have to build a Leicester team, not another team of loanees, and Bamba is our man... as I say unless he wants to go, in that case to the highest bidder please...
