As some may be aware Drogs is stepping down as Chelsea Mod so we have discussed the idea of potential replacements and we came up with a short list of Varier2 and Bucks Blue. We'd like all Chelsea posters to get involved as cast your votes on your preference. Votes will be open but it's only to decipher out the WUMs. Drogs and I will consider taking votes from other mods but any non-Chelsea vote will generally be excluded I'm sorry to say.

So thanks and get voting as there isn't long to vote!

I'm sorry to hear Drogs has stepped down as mod as when I first joined he immediately answered a couple of questions I had and then made me feel instantly welcome and I feel has done a really good job of moderating. So thanks has to go out to him.

I don't feel I have been on here long enough to decide between the two replacements but didn't want to just ignore this as it then looks like I don't care. I needed an option of don't mind either of these two

Firstly, a whopping thanks to Drogs for all the time and energy he put into this forum I know ginge thought very highly of him. I hope he will still be a part of the scene like SW6 but for me out of the two worthy candidates I chose Bucks Blue. Good luck to both candidates.:emoticon-0167-beer:

I'd just like to say a big thanks to Drogs as well, he has continued the excellent work of Ginge and SW6.

I look forward to working with whoever wins the Poll, I love Bucks enthusiasm and Varier2 is also very level headed.

All the best lads <ok>

Speaking as a neutral, of the two, I'd say that I've found Varier2 to be the more even-handed with his comments.

Under Drogs and DL, this board has seen something of a resurgence, attracting fans from all over the forum. If you revert to the kind of heavy-handed moderation of former times, you'll isolate this board and it could resort back to the ghost-ship that it used to be, which would be a real shame.

In other words, don't ban me <laugh>

As I have always said, SD, if I am banned I am banned. It won't be for me being abusive to posters or for making personal attacks, it will be purely down to the fact that the mods side with those who are too immature to withstand intelligent, cutting banter.

Most of the rank and file Gooners would have me back on their board; it's only their immature and dense mods who are too afraid to take me on in open banter.

At one time, the immature posters on this board held sway and I was banned for a while, but commonsense and maturity - as well as a healthy dose of humour - appears to have taken a hold of the board, and the immature element has been confined to its playpen. It's made this board a fun place to post on, which is what it should all be about. I hope things stay that way, but if they don't, there isn't much that I can do about it.

As no one asked you its puzzling why you would stick your oar in? Are you worried you have wummed too much? I know one of the candidates isn't fond of you so maybe its time to spend a little more time on the Spud board!

thank you for the kind words guys. I've had a good time being mod but I am stepping down due to work and just life in general. Good luck to either Varier2 and Bucks!

p.s. I'll still be around to post from time to time, you won't get rid of me that easily <laugh>

Thanks to Drogs for all his efforts, hope he does find the time to stay on the board.
Iv'e already nominated Bucks Blue as supporter of the year for his great attendance record at away games, and clear even handed reports. being a Mod might take up too much of his time.
So I am siding with Varier as Mod, mainly because of his experience, and usually level headed approach to articles.
Whoever is chosen is fine by me, either man will be good for the job.

think i will go with that

Thanks a lot for Drogs for his contributions as Mod.

Good luck to both the candidates and hope you continue the good job Drogs did.

This remains one of favourite boards to visit and I think Drogs has done a great job here (along with DL), so good luck to you drogs and I hope your replacement keeps up the good work.
