Admittedly it was getting tedious but I can't see the point in closing any thread, if people want to use it then so be it.

I didnt get my say in that thread (as those of you who follow me on twitter will know ive been wrestling with an essay and a dissertation).
As long as the mods are sensible with what they do, as im sure they will be, and can be held accountable for incorrect moderating, im all for this policy.
while it hasn't often happened to me (and when it has I've been happy to call the perpertrator out), I've seen plenty enough consistent anti-carrabuh, anti-beefy, anti-supers, etc posts to know that the issue needs addressing. Some can handle it, but those who can't have to be protected.
So yeah, basically just don't **** it up Dave, Maestro and DH (who i understand is now a mod here)

Agreed. There's no need to close threads down. They die a natural death.
Actually, even if something was racist or sexist or homophobic, my instinct would be to leave it up there for everyone else to take a pop at and show how stupid and nasty it was.
As for the thread we're talking about, it looks like the storm has blown itself out. A few trees came down, but life goes on.
