Finally got my hands on my new iPhone 5 last week and I have to say what a fantastic bit of kit it is. The transition between menus options is excellent but I wouldn't expect anything less from an apple device

10/10

Have you noticed that there's an update required for at least one App every blasted day?

well that's down more so to the app developers and not apple themselves, always read the small print on the updates as well, generally they are to correct bugs in a previous revision

Thanks Secret. I've got my grandmother here at the moment. She's taken her growlers out and there's a modest stack of eggs. Any thoughts?

What's so great about the '5'? The auto-save which worked so well on my old '3' is absent and I'm fed up with the so called advanced model. Narrow screen, doesn't allow flash players, I'm beginning to think it's a bit of a swizz.

If anyone's interested I may start a thread called "ask cerny" here you can ask me all sorts if techy questions #askcerny

The auto save is nothing to do with the device mate, I suspect this has been turned off on the not606.com as it used to work from a regular pc browser but doesn't anymore.

not sure what you mean with regards flash ?

Don't mind me, just one of those days!
I find a lot of the time it doesn't allow you to view clips etc if you haven't got a flash device installed, and yet it doesn't allow you to do this when you try. An Apple strategy I think?

Galaxy note 2 is awesome, it is big but even with a leather case it still fits in most shirt breast pockets. So much on it, had it 2 weeks and not even scratched the surface, fantastic signal as well compared to my old HTC.

What do you think of the Nexus 7?...

Good but go for the 10, the Nexus 10 is far better than the ipad, especially if you watch things on it because the ipad design is 10 years out of date in a 4:3 ratio while just about every other device in the world is 16:9 which all TV is filmed in.

I went from HTC to the Nexus for, I hated HTC bringing out a phone every 35 seconds which meant they never got updated. The Nexus devices get updated before any tech sites have even written a story confirming the updated.

I waited a year for HTC to update their phone but they never did.

The reason you can't display flash on an IOS device is because adobe and apple are in a long standing legal dispute, unfortunately for adobe flash is now outdated and HTML 5 is where it's going, which can in turn be played on I devices

Apple 1 - 0 adobe <laugh>

So tell me, how many football streams do you watch on your ipad?
