    To answer the thread, it strikes me that Bruce has been stung into action from the recent 'meeting' with Short?

    I think he has had a very laid back stance on our slide down the table personally and I think short has given him the 'get yer friggin finger out of your arse' discussion and told to put it right now, not later.

    Thats the way you could look at it, I prefer to see it as get in quick, get some players for as cheap as possible, then later if we do need to spend, its only on 1-3 players and not 7-8 that we have to spend big on.
