I was one of many who screamed Blue murder when Robbie was unceremoniously dumped having achieved so much in such a short time at the helm! My feelings were not helped by the announcement of his successor Rafael Benitez! Since then we have carried out a tirade in the stands against him , which has culminated in him making it clear he will be away in 2 months! But the howling and chanting goes on! Reading the commentaries today over our comeback against Man U, a lot has been said about the continuing heckling and I am aware Rafa has a skin twice as thick as a rhinocerous! As it will make no difference, wouldn't it be a good time to rest up with the heckling? After all, I'm feeling as if its making us Blues all look a bit silly now!
The more we heckle - the sillier we'll look if we do well. Lets just support for the final 15 or so games we'll have to play.
no body should have to put up with that at their work place, he knows how every body feels about him and to keep heckling him is childish and spiteful, so yeah give him a break now. but then again the heckling might drive him on to do better and shut every body up !!
Mikel in the news today saying that it's affecting the players too so I think that answers the question. If you heckle now you're affecting performances and risking CL qualification for nothing as Rafa is going anyway. Only a muppet would continue now.
Its really time to get behind the team and my be they can salvage something from an ultimately disappointing campaign who knows we might even make a fight of it in the Europa League the deficit is only 1-0 we came back from worse against Napoli last season.
First reaction is to say NO. Second is to say MAYBE. So some good old british compromise, cheer on the team, get rid of the RAFA OUT banners, but soften them to something like ROLL ON JULY. Rafa is such a twat, any applause would get him thinking he's actually wanted next year !!!!!!
of course it's affecting the players, been on here saying that over and over, everyone and his dog's been saying it FFS I am sure you all would have started with Mikel and Moses against the mancs in the first place Even then if he had started with them the game may not have turned out so well, the changes had united all over the place and rattled. Not the first time he's done that, Istanbul Time eh, expecting him to walk in and start winning all the games after the absolute ****ing mess RA created which all started with pissing off the manager who brought Chelsea fans up till then unmatched success at your club. sacking Wilkins made it worse, sacking Carlo made it even worse. Never should have given RDM the job and Rafa should never have been given the Interim title either, a long string of mistakes that had you where you were. None of it Rafa's fault. And I find it a little polystyrene to expect Rafa to know all of your players and their traits as soon as he's walked in. Patience guys, look at us. We're starting to improve but even so, BR has had a tough time of it but things are getting better, with the players at your disposal it ain't all bad yeah
BBF---I think even the most anti-FSW now has to take stock on whats good or bad for CFC, and if they dont they will contribute to our lack of performance! I wonder if BR as a Chelsea OB might be trying to work himself into the position as Rafa's successor!
Yeah I think the fans made their point well enough at this stage. I think it must be fkn hard to do your job under such conditions in a new job. Imagine being at work and and being abused like that, we all know we'd be dishing out a few slaps in that scenario On another note Fergie indeed
We are all falling for Rafa's mind games. It is our fault if the team loses. No it isn't. It is the manager and players' fault. We supported Torres for 18 months throughout thick and thin and he is still ****e. It would be same story with fatso
We've made our position clear, the board knows we don't want him and so does Rafa himself. He acknowledges he'll be gone in May (baring maybe a miracle cup double and top 4) so I can't see anything can be achieved from continuing the hate rally. We don't have to chant his name but just get behind the team 100% til the end of the season. Unfortunetely though, passions run high on match days and it'll only take a bad result Thursday and there will be booing at the final whistle, chanting throughout if the result is going against us etc.
BBF--Point well made about Fergie's claims of tiredness. If we'd swapped midweek schedules with them we might have won 6-0!
Dude!!!! Mind games The entire footballing world and their wives know that the adverse support if affecting the morale of the entire club Do you really have to refer to your manager like that constantly, is it because of the word Interim, and what if the next guy does worse? I am finding it hard to understand why you seem to think any decent manager would want the job after seeing how Rafa is treated, your fans seem to not see this!!
