I went to Old Trafford yesterday and... well.... it felt like a win it really did. We all knew that to get a win or a draw was going to be extremely tricky given United's form this season and our form this season and as that second goal went in, there was pure jubilation from us in the East stand upper tier. We went ****ing mental. We chanted throughout the game even when 2-0 down and did ourselves proud, just like the players in that second half. Everyone was awesome. Hazard was a genius. Mata was a wizard. Mikel and Ramires were really good. Defence was very good in that second half. We played to our strength and that is our attack. Hopefully Rafa has seen this and in the remaining games we will do very well. Spurs and Arsenal fans should be a bit worried because if we play like that second half for the rest of the season, we will come third. Yesterday made me proud to be a Chelsea fan. We showed passion, grit, determination and fight and it was really good to see. It felt like a win and the return match will be another cracker I'm sure. This away day has to go up there with Leeds, Southampton and Spurs away this season. Fans were superb. Leaving Old Trafford was great chanting all the way to the tram station. Absolutely loved it. Now lets continue this and get 4th spot! Finally... here is a video I took of our fans after the second goal... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyXK7dD51gg&feature=youtu.be
We've ripped them to shreds last two times we've been to Old Trafford, play like we can and we can go there and win in the league. Away fans sounded top notch, hopefully it can kick start our season and we can finish 3rd
No you didnt, in the 3 1 last year we created much more than you and the score could have been 6 3 or something like that, and yesterday we dominated the 1st half and you dominated the 2nd and a draw was the fair result in the end.
BB thanks for the vid its great when you post these as I really miss that feeling of actually being there, was there much negative chanting yesterday re Rafa or is it ok now we know he's deffo going ? Its hard to hear on tv
When we went 2-0 down there was for about 5 mins then we just chanted about the team etc. When he made the subs and took Lamps off many got annoyed and there was chanting then but that was all forgotten when we got the first goal.... How fickle we are! I thought our support was class and some United fans are having the cheek to say it was terrible... Do **** off...
Almost all neutrals and pundits agree we were the better team. United went 2-0 up thanks to 2 offside goals and got a 3rd due to about 10 deflections, Ramires and Torres missed open nets and we carved you open. Even Hansen said we were the better team.
You mean how many went? I think it was about 4800... And we outsung 70,000 Mancs. Yeah I know it's been a **** season but Leeds away, Spurs away, Southampton away and yesterday have been some of my favourite away days so some positives!
BB--I didn't go but watched on TV! Fingernails took a lot of punishment in the first half, but boy, were we class in last 45 mins! It seems to be feast or famine at the moment! We need consistency and I mean playing consistently like we did in the 2nd half yesterday!
BM2, it's all about balance, 1st half we were poor because of midfield malfunction. Neither Lamps nor Ramires can run the midfield.Once fat twat got that sorted it all went heaps better. Still think our best midfield all season has been Luiz and Lamps, not sure why we don't see it more often. Also think Cahill is having a stinker of a season, expect there is a lot of improvement to come from him. Sure that he and JT will be a better pairing, Luiz is just too quick off the mark for JT, and JT too slow to cover for him when he bombs forward. Still, not a bad problem.
That sounds about right combo then, I suppose its due to frustration atm and going 2 down that quickly was a shock, so expected really. It wasn't fickle it was probably relief lol. Hopefully one day I will be able to get back there myself and join in. United supporters would say that as they must have been a little bit miffed after that game.
If there was anything to add, it was how Cech and the back 4 looked so accident prone, particularly in the first half. They all looked like complete strangers to each other! I hope some lessons have been learnt there!
Ditto. This is a result of change, it irons it's self out. We had a solid pairing but under our new manager and new system they've looked anything but solid
A draw was a fair result cos it was 2 - 2 Mata should have put it to bed though, De Gea make an excellent stop. If only he could manage crosses Fear not we have Jones who is terrified of crosses
