I can't comment about Sat but from your very good report it sounded good

I know we have some outstanding footballers in our squad . Granero is still a massive signing for QPR. He has been quoted as saying his heart is in the club . I can only guess that Harold picked park on front if him as Park is also a brilliant footballer

It seemed to me he picked a team with as much width as possible and needed four in attack when we had the ball

No place in the 11 for Granero but to say he isn't right for us is daft

We have an excellent midfield at the moment IMO and so many options

To have Granero on the bench IMO we should be rejoicing

Look at Villa, Wigan , Stoke , Norwich , Reading , Fulham . Sunderland , Swansea WBA

Granero would get in those sides IMO
Yet he is on the bench and looks a little down? and now he's not good for us ? Faith Colin he is a brilliant little footballer who is finding us tough to play the game ... He will come good

Why keep loping for problems mate ... Enjoy it

A weeks training now where everyone wants to play and start against Zvilla must be a good sign?

Thanks Col, great report. I am glad you emphasised the point that Remy's goal was not at all easy. While being less spectacular than the other two, he had to be sharp witted and quick footed to get that in. If he keeps scoring like that, it will massively aid our survival hopes. Thank the good Lord he did not go to Newcastle!!!!!!

As a post script....On saturday Mrs TR & I were driving home from Kilkenny listening to commentary on Reading/Villa....3 times during the 2nd half the commentator referred to Reading as "Queens Park Rangers", the last time when he was describing the mass exodus of fans with 5 minutes to go....Fire drill, anyway I shouted at the radio that he was watching Reading and what an idiot he was, and then i had to explain to Mrs TR about the fake hoops etc.

I digress, my original point was that during the after match round up the reporter at LR said and i quote " For the first time this season Queens Park Rangers look like a Premier League team".....at last.

Spot on report there from Colly. That an ordinary geezer who posts on a message board can write match reports like that makes a mockery of Clive Whittingham's rambling bull-sh*t.

Spot on I prefer Col's on here at least we know he went to the game .. give him another five years and he is also bound to pick up a lot more about the game ... Joke Colin. What i hate more about match reports is the exact ramblings and then the caution etc all wrapped in a load of creative writing bollocks .. Col writes it like he sees it even if he should go to spec savers (Another Joke Colin). I read the other night on the train "Harry's Game" seriously what a load of rubbish and just a mid week page filler by some idiot writer for The Evening Standard.

Col, finally i can totally agree with a report you have posted.
Never been anything personall but alway believed we have a team capable of playing together AS A TEAM
Thought Boz was class but gave MOM to Townsend...by a ,mile. talk about hidden gem! Just my HO!

What impressed me most about your post was the way you credited players you have previously put down.shows who you are as a supporter and a man.

Always love reading the reports from you and judo as i SO want to be there......I still believe we could do this !!

    Thanks Col..keep them coming! <ok>

Well said. I might disagree with him about Tarbs but COL has always been 100% honest when assessing players. Bosingwa dissing his lad the way he did didn't prevent him from crediting him honestly with a top performance.

His reports are of a very high quality.

999's if Clint or Samba was injured I'd play Onuoha or M'bia in the middle and miss that list you have given for replacements.

Another excellent report, Col, and pressed for time or not, I bet you enjoyed writing it! I feel our ugly duckling team may be turning into a swan. Big credit to Tony Fernandes for doing the right thing by the club after the Hughes crisis. If by any miracle, we do stay up, he and Harry should be carried around the field shoulder high.

Agree with all your report, and also Nines' comments about Zamora. Through no fault of his own, the guy was struggling at times. With an ankle injury and a an ongoing hip problem, he showed great courage and determination, but he was clearly finding it difficult latterly, and I don't remember seeing him doing much jumping for headers. The ball-holding forward position is the one worry I have. I don't know that BZ will improve much this season, so I hope Harry is giving Betty plenty of intensive training.

Sorry not to have made it to the pub in the end. I hope to be able to make the next. I'm going up to Villa on Sat. I'm sure all the Rangers fans will be in good voice. At last we have something to cheer.

I totally agree Vale. Tbh the above post was a little in-joke between myself and sb_73, my apologies for that.

I've had to comment on this thread as some of the post's on here are too good to get buried. Like Goldie's above.
Also Col's efforts this season have been representative of too many draws or defeats.
We have just witnessed a fine victory.
Let's keep Col's great thread rolling until at least the Villa game, <ok>

We should all try to enjoy this victory. Savour it even.

I'm not looking for problems Dave, merely making observations.
I don't doubt Granero's footballing ability, but I do think he may feel a little lost. IMO he bought into the whole Mark Hughes thing, which was a famous name manager, buying famous names to build a club that was going places. Now, the latter may eventually be true, but I don't think he ever envisaged being bottom of the league and having to scrap for our lives. If we were mid-table I believe we'd be seeing some good performances from him, but right now, he looks like a fish out of water as far as his body language is concerned. Remy and Hoilett were going mad on the bench after the third goal.....Granero just sat there, staring ahead. Look at Townsend's commitment, even though he is a Spurs player. That's what Granero needs to find.
