Taking this age old adage into consideration, how many players are we really short?

----------Gordon---------- ------------Mig------------
? --- ? --- Bramble - Bard. ? --- Ferd - Turner - Rich
Sess --- Catt --- ? -- ? Hend - Colback - Mey - Steed
---------Gyan - ? ------- -------- ? --- ? -----------

This is obviously not taking into account the likes of Campbell ( who may not play next season ) and all the kids ( Noble, Lynch, Laing etc )

That's a ****ing scary amount of gaps to fill for a team that is now supposed to be an "established premier league side".......

that'll make 8 short, but i doubt bruce is looking at 8 in them positions that you have high-lighted

I don't think two players in every position is enough these days. In Newcastle we're having to use Ryan Taylor in centre midfield (he's usually right midfield/right back) and I'm sure we had about 6 CM's in January.

You aren't wrong they way we have had to shift player around this season
