Well Rafa's just increased his popularity at Stamford Bridge a little more, hasn't he? Next up? A trip to Old Trafford.
I thought about that after i replied,but you can't delete it on here after it's posted,or i can't anyway
Lawro has us down for a 2-1 defeat at Anfield. Their last win was three seasons ago and we are due a loss to them but if we beat them and I feel a draw is more likely Liverpool's form will wilt.
Meaningless, West Ham at home is far more important. Have to win that or 5th is staring us in the face. All the home games are winnable but the manager/players clearly don't care about Europa League, poor attitude, it's still a good trophy to win.
How bad did you think your lot were tonight DL? Looked a really disorganised and uncommitted performance to me - not a game that was going to boost confidence.
The attitude was poor but the team he put out was awful. Bertrand wouldn't get into any PL XI yet is deemed good enough to start for us. Benayoun not good enough for West Ham, but good enough to start. The League form is not worrying me yet. The Newcastle game was unlucky and they'd gone Football Manager and assembled a brand new team and Reading was just a freak result, however performances in the cups have been shocking. I expect Man U to win 3-1 on Sunday but as long as we beat the Spammers I'll take that. I'd take 3rd over FA Cup and Europa anyday as I wouldn't want to see us win a trophy under Benitez, nor do we deserve to. If we go out then you'll win the Europa League.
West Ham are ****, but you need to watch out, cos it's another one of their seemingly endless cup finals and they'll be up for it. Joe Cole won't know who to root for, though. Everyone but Spurs and Liverpool, I think.
West Ham struggle against teams that can play football. If we can remember we are a half decent footballing team we should win. They can't play Stoke every week unfortunately for them. I still think we'll edge past Steau but it'll take a performance ten times better than that dross today.
That shouldn't be hard, though. Only watched the 2nd half, but you were bloody awful and they should've scored more.
Hope we get Fenerbahce next - you know, the Fenerbahce that UEFA banned from all European competitions this season for being at the heart of a match-fixing scandal in Turkey, which meant there was a spare place in the Champions League qualifiers...
Spurs. Best team in London. Best English team left in Europe. It has a rather nice ring to it, I think. I'm sure that all the AFC and CFC boys will get behind the mighty Spurs when their teams crash out of Europe (in humiliating fashion). I'm sure the likes of PISSTAKE, Arsenal(IQ=)87, and my CFC mate, Ozzie, will all join us in cheering on the lillywhites, and quite rightly, too, and we have matured into a powerful force in Europe, under AVB.
