Racing comes from Ayr, Dundalk, Leicester, Sandown and Wolverhampton
3.10 Ayr
Dark Glacier 16/1
Brief (because I’m watching the toon game) overview of why this one is overpriced tomorrow imho.
Go back to 5th of Nov 2011. First run of the season (and over hurdles), probably needs it, runs like a drain on good ground. Next up wins on Good-soft ground and wins well against reasonable enough opposition. Next run finishes 3rd on Good-soft finishing ahead of the talented Rival D’Estruval (receiving 6lbs). Finishes close behind South Leinster giving away a stone and the talented Nuts N Bolts who was also receiving weight. Both of whom are now on a higher mark than Dark Glacier. Dark Glacier runs a stinker on heavy ground next time out before confirming the form with Rival D’Estruval (admittedly receiving 4lbs) when beating the now 143+ rated chaser by 2L on good ground. His next run was a poor looking 5th of 8 on soft ground. Dig a little deeper and you will see Ambion Wood battered the field by 15L with some smart types in and around Dark Glacier, with Golden Call and Talkonthestreet (rated 139 that day) no more than 3 ½ lengths in front of Dark Glacier on levels. The other horse to finish in front was Midnight Minx, receiving her fillies allowance who ran a length in front of Dark Glacier. She is now rated in the 130s as well. This season Dark Glacier has gone chasing and has had 4 runs, all on heavy ground, which I’m convinced he hates. Runs off of 125 tomorrow over hurdles but, more crucially, on good to soft ground. I think this will bring a turn around in fortunes.
