I think with the recent money figures and just in general we will need to sell to buy. Carroll and Downing spring to mind and maybe Assaidi used as makeshift for De Vrij?

If we only get 2 I'd vote for De Vrij and Sanchez as Enrique and Henderson are more than capable in their roles already. In fact I'd prefer a DM to Honda I think.

I'm not sure we will have to sell to buy. The finance update was good as it didnt include a lot of sponsorship and transfer monies. We have more money than it suggests.

Carroll, Coates, Galucci and maybe Downing out.

Mulumbu- 7 mil think should do it.
 
Can see geuine interest in De Vrij , Martins Indi, think LFC will want at least 1 marquee signing for wide area so could see us havin interested in Sanchez also
 
Honda is like Turan, Llorente, Blazy cow, (and used to be Figo) we're only linked to him because we're linked to him every summer. Lazy journalusts see old stories and repoat them.

I think the craze for Diame is a bit of mystery as he has power and pace but not much else, I think Mulumbu has both that and he is calm on the ball and plays well in Steve Clarke's system which we know is to still try to keep the ball. I think he would be a great option when playing teams that we need a bit more steel with. Also think he is prem tested.

Not seen enough of him to make a judgement tbh, if you take lfc out of it , i probably watch more la liga than pl.Agree we need that type of player, I think JJ could be that type if we played him as DM instead of playin him at 10 where he is totally unsuited.JJs a good player with the pitch in front of him, sh*te with his back to goal

I remember after Rafas 1st season, he thought we didnt have enough muscle, so he brought in Crouch n Sissoko, think we finished 3rd that season

and if mulumbu is too expensive, the french league has plenty of those players Mavinga, Capoune, etc.

Wonder if the Benat interest was just papertalk or not? Think he is too old for us but I have always like how Tino Costa plays for Valencia as well. <ok>

In January I would have guessed Benat would have been the type of player we were after in the summer.

My opinion has changed since then,we all thought LS and DS would play in a 3 up top with 1 wide, that hasnt happened at all. DS has played 9 and LS has played 10, I said in Jan our most important buy in the summer was a 10, I now say we need a wide player more than a 10 as LS is playin 10 already and doin an excellent job, and a REALLY good wide player not a squad player, IMO it should be this summers biggest buy. Id be lookin at Feghouli,Lamela,Sanchez,James Rodriguez. In January I wudda said Eriksen,Isco,Benat.

I dont what BRs thinkin though, perhaps he still may go for the Eriksen type, over a winger , Id go for the top winger though

Not the finished article but Viktor Fischer is going to be some player. I have always liked Jesus navas but think he has terrible homesick issues? Muniain would be a fantastic signing as well.

Think Navas is now slightly too old, though a top player.

Whether it be a 10 or a winger, BR will bring someone in of that type, he will have to have goals IMO, Downings played ok this yr, but doesnt have goals in his game,and we someoen a class above his level anyway.Downing may up stayin if we dont get a decent offer anyway,+ hes an option at LB. There may still be interest in Tom Ince, but I think we need someone a class above that,someone who will definitely be in the 11 every week, will get 10 PL goals a season
 
Need a wide player, but not sure I'd be looking at the 'big names'. Sanchez has never really looked the part for me, just not convinced by him. Barca need to sell to buy, and Sanchez is one who'd be released, but doubt we'd be his first pick and we'd be priced out anyway probably. Muniain is quality, but not had a great season and has had issues off the field with the club, arguments, etc. Not even sure we'd be able to afford him.

We need to find another player who's under valued because the club have money issues or needs to sell to buy (like us), or find a gem. I just don't think we have the money this summer and our priority has to be a top drawer centre back at the moment. Feghouli wouldn't be over priced and is good, Fischer will be great if we can get there fast - maybe offloading Assaidi to them, but I'd rather keep him for the squad.

Even if we buy a number 10, Suarez has the ability to play anywhere along the front and be influential. Isco would be my dream summer signing for the first team...pipedream though.
